How to line the back half of trousers when sewing

When sewing trousers today, they rarely use lining even on PP, but they don’t use it at all on ZP.

And yet, if you sew men's clothing with your own hands, then the day may come when you need to line not only the front, but also the back half of the trousers.

I think it will be interesting for you to know in what cases you can not do without a lining.

Rules for processing the lining of the RFP while sewing trousers

Some 20 years ago, trousers were sewn from natural fabrics, and therefore the “arrows” quickly lost their shape, and the knees stretched out.

The lining of the front half had to prevent deformation in the knee area and therefore it should be narrower than the PP in the knee area.

The lining on the ZP could not affect the degree of ironing of the trousers in a special way, and therefore it was made only in exceptional cases, for example, for a good glide over underwear.

Or, if the trousers were sewn from white fabric and the linen was translucent.

Since the lining of the RFP should not tighten and deform the trousers (shorts), it is made a little larger when it is basted on the back half.

Algorithm for processing the lining of the RFP when sewing trousers

The processing sequence is almost the same as for PP.

After you have done the WTO of the RFP, basted the lining and overcast the cuts, you should process the pocket on the right back half.

So it will be more convenient to repair the burlap, in case it breaks.
