Patterns for the belt and belt loops are not included in the set of patterns, as these are strips of fabric. Calculation of belt sizes described below.

The maximum consumption of fabric with a width of 140 cm and while maintaining the length will be 155 - 160 cm. For a more accurate calculation, you need to adjust the length of the patterns according to the PP and perform a preliminary layout of the patterns, taking into account technological allowances and small details (Fig. 2).

How to cut jeans with your own hands according to the pattern

Before moving on to cutting, let's look at how to calculate the waistband measurements and what allowances should be made when cutting these jeans for custom tailoring.

Calculation of the dimensions of the belt for cutting

The width of the belt for denim trousers in the cut will be 10 cm, length

St + 10 cm,

The loops are cut out from the remnants of the fabric last. These are strips of fabric with a width of 2 - 2,5 cm.

Seam allowances for cutting jeans

As for allowances, they are exactly the same as when cutting regular trousers:

1. Side and crotch seams, the seam of attaching the yoke to the RFP, the line of entry into the pocket of the PP, the allowance of stitching the facing - 1 cm each.
2. Do NOT add an allowance for the waist.
3. On the bottom - 2,5 - 3 cm.
4. On the bow 0,5 - 0,7 cm and a protruding allowance for the fastener 4 by 16 cm along the straight part of the bow cut.
5. According to the cut of the seat, given that our tailoring is individual, it is better to make an expanding allowance from 0,5 to 3 cm.
6. pay attention to coquette detail: along the cut of the seat - 3 cm, there is no allowance at the waist, the rest - 1 cm each.
7. For a pocket ZP along the entry line, add 2 - 2,5 cm to the seam and 1,5 - 2 cm to the remaining sections.

And do not forget to immediately make a cardboard template for ironing the RFP pocket.

Cutting out an attachment

Now consider cutting out an additional RFP. As seen on 2 drawing, the back halves of the trousers do not go completely in the width of the fabric, so you have to cut off a fragment of the pattern and make an additional stitch.

At the same time, it is important that the length of the stitching seam does not exceed 18 cm and that the allowance for stitching the stitching to the RFP is taken into account.

And the most important point: the share thread in the PP and RFP should be located along the details of the jeans, that is, strictly perpendicular to the bottom line.

How to sew jeans on a pattern with your own hands

Sewing denim trousers is considered to be simpler than trousers made of suit fabrics, but also has its own nuances.

Consider a simplified processing option suitable for home sewing machines and not very experienced tailors:

1. We start with the processing of pockets on front half of jeans - watch the video master class on sewing a denim pocket using simplified technology
2. Then, we attach an additional stitch to the RFP, zatyuzhivat and overcast the allowances.
3. After that, we fold both RFPs face to face and, having applied the RFP pattern, we establish both back halves.
4. We also sew the yoke to the RFP, iron the seam allowances up, overcast and perform finishing stitches with a double needle.

7. Then you should decide whether you will lay the finishing line along the side or crotch seams. In classic factory-made jeans, the stitching goes along the crotch, but in custom-tailoring, we can do whatever we want, especially if we need to save a fragile household machine.
8. In general, we process the side and step seams, not forgetting about ironing, and proceed to the fastening.

10. When the clasp is ready, proceed to denim belt processing.
11. Pay attention to the general sequence of sewing, typical for individual tailoring of trousers: the belt consists of two halves and the seam of the seat has not yet been processed, but only swept over. Such processing will allow us not only to carefully try on and fit the jeans tightly on the figure, but also to easily alter them if the customer gets better or loses weight.
12. The fitting is performed when only the seam of the seat and the bottom are not processed.
13. The seam of the seat is carefully swept for fitting and ground twice with a slight stretch of the seam for strength. After sewing, you can iron it and stitch it with a double needle or, if you want to save the machine, iron it.
14. The bottom can be processed into a hem with an open cut, again in order to save the machine. That is, overcast, bend once and lay the finishing line.
