Parsley - the hero of numerous Slavic fairy tales and one of the main characters in children's matinees (Fig. 1).
Consider how to sew a traditional Petrushka costume for a children's party based on free patterns by Vera Olkhovskaya.
As a basis, you can take an illustration from a fairy tale.
The costume consists of a cap, a blouse and trousers.
And the cap pattern is so simple that even a novice tailor can make a pattern.
How to sew a Parsley costume
Petrushka's costume can not be burdened with additional clown attributes if it is sewn from bright fabrics.
Choose from a range of silks.
So for shirt tailoring any satin or printed acetate silk is suitable, for example, in large peas.
For neck processing and cuffs of the kosovorotka we use a bright braid with a width of 2 - 3 cm. Pants can be either silk or satin or plain chintz.
Sewing and cutting trousers can be simplified as much as possible.
Let's take a closer look at how to do this.
fabricate patterns of trousers on a free pattern.
Lay the PP and ZP patterns on the fabric or polyethylene film, as shown in fig. 2 and circle with an allowance for the width of the belt at the top (4 - 5 cm) and with an allowance for the width of the cuff at the bottom (4 - 5 cm).
We ignore the tuck and fold at the waist, but add a bow on the middle and along the cut of the seat 2-3 cm so that the trousers can be easily put on without fasteners.
Then we process the step seams and the seam of the seat bow.
We sew allowances for the belt and cuffs with a rubber thread, winding it on a bobbin. You can also, bending half the allowance, insert an ordinary linen gum inside.

Cutting and sewing a Cossack costume according to patterns
Kazachok (Fig. 3) - cut according to the same free patterns, which is the costume of Petrushka.
It consists of an embroidered shirt, bloomers, a Cossack hat and a wide belt.
Vyshivanka cut and sewn according to the description posted here.
Read how to process the neck of an embroidered shirt.
Harem pants - according to the pattern of trousers,
but they are slightly different from Petrushka's trousers (Fig. 4).
Ready-made patterns of trousers are laid at a greater distance - along the hips 3-5 cm, along the bottom up to 10 cm.
Bloomers are processed in the same way as Petrushka's trousers.
The Cossack hat (Fig. 5) is cut out of black faux fur and red satin.
Tula - a rectangle with a height of 20 - 22 cm and a width equal to the girth of the head.
We cut out the “bottom” like a cap. We make a pattern using a compass. The radius is equal to the height of the cap - 35 - 40 cm, the arc - to the girth of the head.
How to sew a gnome costume
