3. How to cut flared skirts 4 wedges according to the finished pattern

How to cut a flared skirt according to a finished pattern 4 wedges figure 2Cut simple enough that home couturiers who begin learning to cut and sew can do it.

Important NoteYou need to pay attention to the fact that the share in different cases can be located on the wedges in different ways.

For a denim skirt - the share can be parallel to the middle seams of the PP and ZP (picture 2).

For the "trouser" fastener - a protruding allowance.

How to make such an allowance?

Cut a strip of 3 by 15 cm from dublerin and attach PP to the half-skid, circle and cut it out.

Is it worth it to immediately cut off the barrel along the line of entry into the pocket?

You can immediately, or you can after cutting - it does not matter much.

The seam allowances are as follows:

  1. to the middle and side sections - 1 - 1,2 cm;
  2. do not add to the waist,
  3. at the entrance to the pocket - 0,7 - 1 cm.

"Denim belt" - a strip of fabric.

Belt length in cutting = waist circumference + 15 cm (for transitional parts)

How to cut a flared skirt according to a finished pattern 4 wedges figure 3Belt width in cutting = 2 widths in finished form + 2 cm

A skirt in a cage or any other for 4 wedges can also be cut, or with a share along the wedge (picture 3).

If cutting is done on fabric in a cage, then special attention should be paid to the combination of cells.

For perfect alignment, you will have to cut one piece at a time.

The sequence is something like this:

  1. Cut one RFP, and along it a mirror RFP.
  2. Apply PP to the tissue section, and attach the lateral cut of the RFP to the side seam of the PP, to achieve cell alignment. We cut out the first PP, but do not cut out the barrel under the pocket yet. According to the first PP - the second mirror
  3. According to the PP, we cut out the first burlap-valance and along it (along the burlap) - the second mirror.
  4. We repeat the operations to combine the cells with the facial details of the corset belt.
  5. Lastly, we cut out the burlap lining and the wrong parts of the corset belt. It is possible without combination.

4. How to sew a flared skirt 4 wedges with your own hands

  1. Process the pocket. See video on sewing a similar pocket
  2. Photo of a flared denim skirt 4 wedges according to the finished patternFor a denim (or similar) skirt, process the “trouser” fastener and the middle seam of the PP.
See video how to sew a trouser fastener
But you can just stitch overcast and iron the middle seam.
  3. Sew, overcast and iron the side seams. We simply overcast the middle seam of the RFP and leave it unstitched and unswept. According to it, the final adjustment of the skirt to the figure will be performed.
  4. We process the belt.
See video master class how to process a denim belt
Corset belt - duplicate without allowances for seams and grind off the “top”; we duplicate and grind the "wrong side"; we leave the middle seam of the RFP unstitched, but it can be overcast.
  5. We sew the front side of the belt to the skirt.
We sew the corset belt under the bones and insert the bones.
We sew the wrong side of the belt, hiding the open sections under it.
  6. Loops, trim, if provided. Loop, button, if provided.
  7. We sweep the last remaining middle seam of the RFP. For a skirt with a corset belt, we sew a zipper. Trying on.
  8. We process the middle seam of the RFP.
  9. Bottom - in a hem with an open cut - overcast, bend once and hem. Iron.
  10. Finishing skirt.
