How to find the highest point of an eye in a pattern
For example, the value of the highest point of the eye is difficult to overestimate, since it is from it that the process of modeling any sleeves begins (Fig. 1).
But, if everything is simple with a straight sleeve - the highest point of the eyelet is the highest point of the midline of the sleeve, then it is not so easy to find it in a two-seam classic sleeve.
To find it, draw a line through the protruding points of the front seam and perpendicular to this straight line (Fig. 2). In this case, the perpendicular should touch the eye. The point of contact will be the highest point of the eye for a two-seam classic sleeve.
It is worth recalling that the upper half should be cut out so that the share thread passes through both points of the front seam.
And it is convenient to make a template “two in one”, as shown in Fig. 2 on the left.
