How to sew a dress 3: a sleeve to the floor of the armhole

The fact how to sew a dress, a lot of articles have been written and enough videos of master classes have been shot, but the theme of the sleeve on the floor of the armhole has not yet been disclosed, despite the fact that the peak of its popularity has long since come.

It is worth noting that the technique of cutting and sewing such a short sleeve, reminiscent of a dropped shoulder, differs from a regular sleeve only in that its bottom should be processed before stitching.

Getting started, turn the prepared bodice inside out, put the sleeve into the armhole and, combining the highest point of the sleeve with the shoulder seam. We chop off the bodice and sleeve with a pin.

Then, we distribute the fit, as for a regular sleeve, and pin it to the armhole with tailor's pins.

Having finished the tattoo, we sweep the sleeve and, turning the bodice on the face, we check the correctness of this operation. If possible, it is advisable to try on the bodice on the figure and sew in the sleeve, of course, if the quality of the work suits us.
