For tailoring, you should choose only thin and very thin fabrics such as thin staple and cambric.

Chiffon is preferred natural and very soft.

When choosing a fabric, keep in mind that not everyone is suitable for sun skirts.

How to cut a dresswithout shoulder seams "with a skirt tatyanka

After printing the pattern according to the instructions, select the desired size (according to your favorite dress) and cut out the patterns.

The cost is calculated as follows:

Bodice length + Skirt length + 10cm (for basing, processing and allowances)

Or

bodice length + 2 skirt length + 10cm (if the skirt consists of two stripes)

For economic reasons, cutting is best done in two stages (Fig. 2): first, cut out the shelf and back, folding the fabric along the width of these patterns; then we cut out the “Tatyanka”, folding the fabric in half.

You only need to pay attention to two things.

First: allowances for seams - along the bottom of the bodice 3 - 4 cm, side-shoulder - 1,5 cm, neck, sprout, armhole - cut out without allowances behind the stroke line of the pattern.

Second: when you cut a Tatyanka skirt, it is very important that the angles between the edges and cuts are straight. This alignment of the corners is called "basing". Doing it is a must.

How to cut a dress no shoulder seams with sun skirt

If the skirt is not long, that is, Du is from 52 to 58 cm, then "the sun» passes through the width of the fabric (Fig. 3) and the consumption will be:

2Du + Notch diameter + Shelf length + 10 cm (for allowances and alignment of the bottom of the skirt)

Fold the fabric in half face to face and place the combined edges parallel to the edge of the table.

First we cut out the skirt "sun" (see the video lesson on the cutting technique)using the notch pattern, then the details of the bodice.

Pay attention to the fact that the fastener (“cut”) can be made both on the shelf (Fig. 2) and on the back (Fig. 3 - 4).

Such a fastener is easily processed in the seam of stitching the halves of the shelf or back. Part of the seam is ground off, and where there is a spread, the seam is swept away.

Then the allowances are overcast each separately and ironed.

The basting is removed, and a finishing stitch is laid along the spread, which can be selected from among the decorative stitches of your sewing machine.

If a "the sun» does not go across the width of the fabric, then it will have to be cut in half (Fig. 4) and the consumption will increase to

4Du + 2 recess diameters

That will be 4,5 - 5 meters of fabric, with a width of 1,4 meters.

In this case, cutting is carried out in four stages:

1. cut out one halfthe sun";
2. then another;
3. fold the rest of the fabric in half to cut the shelves;
4. and twice again - for cutting the back.

Be careful when cutting on the remnants of the fabric!

Pay attention to share direction!

Half skid (center line) or middle seam of the shelf - strictly parallel to the shared thread (edges)!

The middle line or back seam is the same.

All dresses that are cut off at the waist are sewn in the same way: we “collect” the bodice, “collect” the skirt, overcast and iron the seams, try on the bodice and outline the line for attaching the skirt, sweep the bodice with the skirt, try again and “beat off the length” of the skirt (align from the floor) ... Now about some operations in more detail.

When the bodice is “assembled”, that is, its seams are stitched, swept over and ironed, the neckline is assembled and the fitting is carried out, it is time to process the neckline and armholes.

For this model, the best option is processing with an oblique inlay.

The first method involves processing sections with an inlay, handmade at home.

The second option is to use an inlay, which is sold in stores, and a binder.
