Method one: a narrow belt-half. You will need one blank, which, after ironing twice, must be turned, then, cut the allowance, twist and iron.

I will share with you a little tailor's trick: so that the narrow belt does not move off the waist, lay 2-3 lines at the waist level with a rubber thread wound on a bobbin.
This simple trick will allow you to fix a narrow belt strictly at the waist.

How to sew a wide belt for a dress
To sew a wide belt, you need to take two blanks - this is the second processing option.
On one of the blanks, 4-5 strips of regilin are sewn across, equal in length to the width of the belt, excluding seam allowances.
The workpiece with stitched regilin is folded face to face with the second workpiece without “bones”, grinded, cut the allowance, turned inside out and ironed.
As for the bows on the dress, they can be made as narrow “halves” from one blank, or wide from 2 blanks.
Such bows are inserted into the side seams at the waist or slightly higher in dresses, tunics and blouses of a free silhouette.
