These are two “narrow” sleeves 3/4 long, with gathers and folds along the hem, and two elbow-length “bell” sleeves (one of them is designed specifically for guipure, coupon fabrics and other fabrics with a wide border - it has a straight line bottom and more convex okat)

Features of do-it-yourself patterns of dresses with different sleeves

Cutting the dress "Tatyanka with a bell sleeve" is very simple, but, as with cutting other models, you first need to know how you will process the neck, what will be the length of the finished skirt and the length of the sleeve.

In most cases, the processing of the neckline with facings is suitable, which are cut according to the details of the bodice or the same patterns (picture 2).

In addition to the usual boring necklines and fasteners, you can also make a “drop” fastener or process an additional cutout on the back (picture 2 at the bottom).

But it is better to postpone this decision until the fitting, since it is during the fitting that you will need to decide on the length and width of the “drop” or the depth and width of the cutout.

Now, fold the fabric in half, face inward, matching the edges (picture 2), that is, as usual.

Lay the patterns of the back, shelves and sleeves (picture 3) "Jack" or in one direction, depending on the size you choose.

All sleeves included in the set of patterns can be cut out both along the shared thread and along the oblique.

The Tatyanka skirt is usually cut out over the entire width of the fabric. Sometimes, skinny girls take two lengths for a skirt.

About seam allowances

Seam allowances are also the usual:

1. shoulder-side seams of the shelf-back, front-back seams of the sleeve - 1 - 1,5 cm;
2. sprout-neck and sleeve hem - WITHOUT ALLOWANCES, since by adding an allowance along a concave or convex curve, you change its length.
3. The middle seam of the back is 1 - 3 cm.
4. We add a large allowance at the waist of the bodice - at least 3 cm. This will help not only to accurately fit, but also save the dress in case of shrinkage after washing.

Cutting from a narrow lace fabric may look like on 4 drawing - the border looks good and spectacular on the bottom of the bodice.

In this case, the skirt can be made from ordinary plain silk.
