From what to sew a women's vest on a pattern

The consumption of faux fur will be 1 - 2 lengths of the product, measured along the shelf.

When determining the expense for the purchase of fur, one must take into account that the most common furs are 150, 200 and 220 cm wide.

For example, an artificial llama is 200 and 220 cm wide and the set for the product in this case will be one length plus 3 - 5 cm (picture 2).

Other long-haired furs (“scribe”, “fox” and “grass”) most often have a width of 150 cm, while “fox”, “scribe”, “leopard”, “zebra”, “tiger”, etc. can have pronounced wide stripes along, taking into account which it will be necessary to perform cutting (picture 3).

In this case, the consumption may increase up to 2 lengths of the product, therefore, I recommend buying such “striped” furs only after laying out the patterns.

Please note that for the layout you will need a backrest pattern in a turn and two shelf patterns.

Do-it-yourself fur vest pattern rules

Most importantly, the pile on all parts should be in one direction and in the vast majority of cases this direction is down.

Fur should be cut WITHOUT FOLDING it in half, no matter what the newly-minted fashion designers and YouTube stars tell you.

So, the fur is laid on the cutting table with the pile to the table and the base up. An arrow is immediately placed on the basis, indicating the direction of the fur in the cut.

Patterns are laid out taking into account the direction of the pile and stripes, if any (figures 2 и 3).

Seam allowance mYou can not add or add along the entire contour of the patterns by 0,7 - 1 cm.

Please note: the tuck is also cut out.

You should cut carefully, turning the blade of the scissors only under the base of the fur and not cutting the pile.

It is advisable to cut the lining according to fur details (picture 4).

The fabric is folded in half face to face along the width of the layout.

The back is laid indented from the fold of the fabric by 2,5 - 3 cm, so that in the area of ​​​​the shoulder blades it is possible to make a warehouse for ease of wearing.

For high-quality stitching of faux fur, you can use teflon or walking foot (it is also the upper fabric conveyor).

These devices will greatly facilitate the stitching of faux fur.
