How to cut a shirt and blouse with embroidery

How to cut a shirt and blouse with embroidery 1The popularity of ethnic clothing is growing every day!..

Please note that regardless of the “nationality” of the product, the cutting rules are always the same.

Let's consider them on the examples of men's t-shirts and women's blouses, embroidered in the Ukrainian style.

The men's shirt on the set-in placket has a large embroidery on the front, embroidered fragments on the bottom of the sleeve and an embroidered collar. On the women's blouse, only a shelf is embroidered ...

How to cut a shirt and blouse with embroidery 2

If you are a regular viewer of my channel, then you have already seen a video on how to make embroidery for a men's shirt.

I washed, dried and ironed the fabric with embroidery and start my cutting from the shelf.

First, I outline the half-drift line - that is, the middle line of the shelf ...

Then, I apply the shelf pattern to the half-skid and circle it ... or immediately cut it out with the necessary allowances.

I turn the shelf over, apply it on the other side of the half-skid and circle or cut it out again.

And the allowances for the seams are as follows: shoulder-side - 1 cm, neckline and armhole for the outline line of the pattern.

The back can be cut out by folding the fabric in half.

And here again, an unforeseen circumstance - there is not enough length. You have to make a coquette.

I cut out the back and yoke with the same allowances as the shelf: the side and seams of the yoke along which it is sewn to the shelf and back 1 cm each, the sprout and armhole - for the stroke line of the pattern.

I added 1,5 cm along the bottom for processing into a hem with a closed cut.

I cut out the sleeves one by one, placing the embroidery strictly in the middle of the lower cut (I am guided by the notch on the pattern) and add it to the hem. Actually, I already laid two allowances when I did the embroidery and it will not work to change them.

The collar remains. It will be rectangular, that is, almost rectangular.

Now I will show you how you can cut collars for ordinary Swedes and T-shirts from a stable fabric (from knitwear, these are just dovyaz strips).

I start by folding the usual adhesive interlining in half and putting a mark.

I retreat from it along the fold for a couple more centimeters and, slanting ... I divide it into three parts, then I draw it out smoothly.

The end of the collar may protrude slightly.

Take off smoothly.

Unfortunately, this ideal collar does not match my embroidery, so the collar will be rectangular, but I will add a small notch and bevel the cuts at the ends of the collar.

I cut the lower collar very precisely along the upper collar.

And, "for dessert", open women's blouses with embroidery.

I do everything the same way: I cut the shelf in a turn.

To do this, I apply a shelf pattern on one side of the half-skid, and then on the other.

I do not add seam allowances to the neck and armholes. I deepen and expand the neck so as not to cut off the embroidery.

Please note: after washing, the vaunted Italian staple was very warped, so I had to level the bottom. In conclusion, I put all the marks that are on the pattern.

And for the back, I fold the fabric in half and cut it, as usual.
