6. How to cut an embroidered dress according to a simple ready-made pattern

The most important step is the choice of size, since the embroidered shirt can be quite “tight”, that is, with a small increase in loose fitting (up to 4 cm) or very loose with a large increase (10-12 cm).

Let me remind you that the size figure is Cg (half-girth of the chest) with an increase in freedom.

It is also worth noting that the size of the bodice may not match the size of the skirt. For example, a skirt can be tight-fitting to the hips, and the bodice is very loose, or vice versa - a puffy skirt and a bodice that is almost tight on the chest.

It is worth noting that this style can be successfully combined from various fabrics.

Seam allowances are normal.

We do not add allowances along the waist cut of the skirt and along the waist cut of the pocket details. Also do not add on the armhole.

On the bottom of the skirt - 2,5 - 3 cm, on the bottom of the bodice - 3 - 5 cm. Please note that by lengthening the bodice, you can increase the overlap of the bodice or adjust the height of the dress.

Opening is quite simple (picture 2), but it is worth noting that if the RFP of the skirt is obtained with an average seam, it is better if the seam is slightly beveled. Do not allow a grain thread along the middle seam of the skirt's RFP.

After cutting out the main details, it is worth cutting out oblique strips to process the upper cut of the bodice and the bottom of the sleeve.

7. How to sew an embroidered dress with your own hands

1. Process the bodice of the embroidered shirt, leaving the clasp unprocessed, only iron it (if the bodice has a clasp).

2. Process the pocket: turn the cut of the entrance to the pocket, notch the allowance at the entrance, iron it with a piping, lay a finishing line, stitch and overcast the burlap, perform bartacks. Process the side seams: stitch, overcast, iron.
3. Perform a fitting: put on the bodice, combine the half-skid on the shelves, tie the bodice with a linen elastic band and form an overlap, if provided, outline the waist cut along the elastic band and try on the skirt.
4. Connect the bodice and skirt, based on the marks obtained during the fitting.
5. You can process the fastener into a hem with a closed cut - a double hem.
6. Finish the hem into an open or closed hem - single hem with overedging or double hem.
