Description of the design of embroidered corsets that can be sewn using this pattern
As seen on 2 drawing, the set includes two shelves - with a cup and without a cup.
In turn, the cup can consist of three parts (“petals” and “strip”) - this is a variant of a conventionally high cup, or two parts (“petals”) - this is a conventionally low cup.
The sleeve can be long or short, and can also be adjusted in width - the correction zone is marked with shading.
What fabric is suitable for an embroidered corset?
There are no restrictions here - you can choose any fabric from linen to jacquard, from linen (even sheets) to cambric or georgette.
Please note that some fabrics will require tight dubbing from you, especially if your corset will have a drawstring.
It is better to calculate the consumption yourself, laying out the patterns before purchasing the fabric, but on average you will spend about 90–100 cm for one bodice and sleeve.
Please note that if the bodice is double or the sleeve has a large one-piece cuff, the consumption should be increased.
In addition, you will need "bones". If the corset is without tightening, then you can limit yourself to soft regiline or silicone bones. For a corset with cups, you will also need arc bones.
Bias tape (preferably thick), braid with holes for lacing, or braid with hooks will also come in handy. It may be useful for processing loops or fittings. Depends on your plan.

How to cut a corset - embroidered shirt using a ready-made pattern
The biggest difficulty for a couturier is choosing the right size.
Based on the cup size of your favorite bra, and for small breasts, use a base without a cup.
Seam allowances – 1–1,2 cm. Along the concave line of the cup insertion – 0,7–1 cm, along the bottom of the corset – up to 4, in order to be able to adjust the length.
It is better to cut the frill around the edge separately (Fig. 2). The width of the frill depends on the design - double, single.
The same with a one-piece frill at the bottom of the sleeve - one or two widths of the frill are added along the bottom, taking into account the overlap.
The lining of the corset is cut out using the same patterns as the top.
How to sew a corset
It's actually simple:
- Assembling the "top". Please note that the parts of the cup have a numbering of cuts - which cut goes with which one.
- We assemble the “lining”.
- Sew the bias tape to the “top” or “to the lining” according to the bone arrangement you need. The location of the bones may not coincide with the seams of the cut.
- We connect the “top” and “lining” “using a live thread” - with large oblique stitches so that the layers are held together during fitting. We sew the braid with holes for lacing or the braid with hooks with a basting stitch for fitting.
- We do fittings. If the size is chosen correctly, then we adjust the lines of the lower and upper cuts as you like.
- Process the top cut by connecting the “top” and “lining”.
- Process the bottom cut.
- Clasp.
- Connecting corset layers in any way.
- Sleeve.
