6. How to cut a jumpsuit - an embroidered shirt with shorts or trousers in a finished pattern.

We start by choosing a size and continue by choosing a style option:

• we estimate what length of trousers or shorts is needed - we measure it along the side seam of the pattern and compare it with the desired length along the side of the figure;
• we choose the length of the sleeve - we measure it according to the figure, stepping back from the side point of the neck by 4 - 5 cm and along the bent elbow, we compare the measurement with the patterns of the upper and lower parts of the sleeve;
• we think over how we will process the bottom of the sleeve and the bottom of the shorts, what will be the cuffs or hem - such an allowance can be immediately taken into account so as not to be mistaken when cutting.
• if you want additional patch pockets, then prepare patterns to figure out when trying on, and take them into account when laying out, but do not cut it out right away.

So, let's start cutting.

Let me remind you about the seam allowances that you must add: 1 cm, except for armholes and bottom. We do not add along the armholes, along the bottom - as much as you need for the processing option you have chosen.

The small size layout is shown in figure 2. Note that the burlap of the pocket did not fit the width of the folded fabric. The lunge at the fold had to be deployed.

Large size layout - picture 3. In this case, the fabric is folded in half along the transverse thread, that is, the edges are obtained on both sides, and the fold is perpendicular to them.

In addition, for large sizes, one rule is violated and the lower part of the sleeve is cut out along the transverse thread. Is it possible to lay the lower part of the sleeve so that the front is along? Yes, you can, but it will increase the consumption of fabric. The consumption with an incorrectly cut sleeve will be about 320 cm, and with a correctly cut one - 370 cm.

After cutting, immediately, putting together all four side cuts, we perform notches: at the knee level, at the waist and pocket notches.

For the lower part of the sleeve - notches that limit the assembly area.

On the middle section of the back, passing into the section of the seat, notches can be made that limit the zipper - indent upward from the hip line - 5 - 7 cm.

If soft folds are planned on the shelf, they should be marked.

7. How to sew a jumpsuit for summer and cold seasons at home - sequence

The peculiarity of tailoring this jumpsuit is that it will be possible to try it on when it is almost ready, and fitting in individual tailoring is quite important. Whether you will finish the seams and then try on the product or sweep everything, decide for yourself.

Actually, to facilitate fitting, soft folds are given - we carry out fitting with their help and do not touch the already processed side sections. There will be a zipper at the back, but if desired, two more fragments of drawstrings with an elastic band can be made under the belt. This extra measure is only useful for girls with a very thin waist.

But in general, tailoring is not much more than sewing embroidered shirts and where we can use linen (sewing) seam

1. We start by sweeping the folds - they should be swept up completely, and it will be possible to grind a smaller area. While you do not need to grind - on the fitting it is worth evaluating their appropriateness.
2. Stitch the burlap, overcast or otherwise process the sections of the entrance to the pocket.
3. Stitch side and step cuts. Do not forget to iron the seat and the buttocks area with an iron, as is done in trousers. Step cuts can be sewn with a linen seam, and we grind the side cuts, passing along the edges of the burlap and then they can be edged or overcast.
4. We grind the middle seam to the zipper.
5. We fasten and stitch the lightning.
6. We assemble the sleeve and sew it in, evenly distributing the cuts of the sleeve along the cut of the armhole, not trying to ensure that the side cuts and cuts of the sleeve coincide.
7. We make a drawstring from above and can be tried on. The best version of the drawstring with a piece of elastic and ties at the ends is an elastic band inside, laces peek out.
8. On the fitting, you can specify the length of the product, the length of the sleeve and the degree of fit. Decide if you need folds in front. If you want additional pockets, then it's time to mark their places. In addition, it is worth considering whether it is necessary to deepen the seat of the overalls - sit down and check. If the jumpsuit slips off the back or pulls, then it is necessary to trim the seat or loosen the drawstring from above.
