Traditionally, boho blouses and trousers are sewn from natural and coarse fabrics.

Trousers cylinders of this model will require a sufficiently dense fabric that can show the volume of the trousers.

Thick denim is ideal.

Linen can be chosen from both natural and artificial fabrics. Artificial linen, perhaps, will better demonstrate the volume of the model and make it easier to care for the trousers.

Can wool fabrics be used?

Yes, sure. Sufficiently dense, but not thick fabrics will do. For example, it is heavy for sewing this model.

But, when choosing a woolen fabric, it is worth considering that it will wipe too quickly. You should definitely not buy pure wool, as it shrinks with each wash and wears out very quickly. It is better to give preference to costume fabrics with the addition of wool.

Is it worth it to sew such trousers from thin fabric?

Yes, sure. A dense shirting fabric with the addition of artificial fibers is ideal.

Fabric consumption will be 200 - 210 cm or two product lengths.

Please note that shortening or lengthening the pattern of trousers should be in the knee area. The length correction area in the drawings is shaded.

If the pattern needs to be shortened, lay a fold in the length correction area and pin it off with pins or glue it.

If the pattern needs to be lengthened, cut it horizontally and spread it apart. Of course, the incision must be in the area of ​​length correction.

How to cut boho trousers with a relief according to a finished pattern with your own hands and allowances for seams

With cutting - no difficulties will arise, even for beginner home couturiers, but the right choice of size is extremely important.

As in other large-volume products, the size figure for such trousers is nothing more than a convention. Therefore, when choosing a size, we measure St (half-circumference of the waist) and Sat (half-circumference of the hips) according to the pattern of trousers.

At the same time, the waist tuck can be ignored if you want to take a smaller size. Or if you choose a larger size, reduce the size of the waist at the seam of the seat at the fitting.

After choosing the size, check and adjust the length. We measure Db (length of trousers) along the lateral surface of the thigh from the waist to the desired length and compare it with the length of the PP barrel in a straight line.

We correct the length with a fold or a cut on the patterns in the correction area, as described above.

Next, consider the pockets.

With the existing pattern, we can sew three pocket options:

1. pocket in the side seam;
2. patch pocket;
3. tuck pocket.

The disadvantage of a pocket in the side seam is the subsequent impossibility of using a hidden zipper as a fastener in the same side seam. And the clasp in the seam of the seat will break very quickly.

Remains a slip pocket and a tuck pocket.

In this case, the processing of the patch pocket can even be simplified: hem along the entry line and stitch the pocket with a double or zigzag stitch. On top of the line we give the finish with a “satin” seam (very frequent zigzag).

Lay the line with an indent of 1 cm from the cut and make a fringe. So that the size of the pocket "does not suffer", add a circular allowance of 1 - 1,5 cm.

The pocket in the tuck is, in fact, the same pocket in the side seam, but the tuck will have to be extended by another 10-12 cm.

DIY seam allowances for these boho trousers

Seam allowances - 1 cm, except for waist sections. We do not add an allowance to the waist, otherwise the cut of the waist will be too short.

Belt rectangle dimensions

Length = Waist + 10cm

Width = 2 finished width + 2cm

The width of the finished belt can vary from 2,5 to 6 cm.

How to sew step by step boho balloons with a relief for beginners

1. Process the tuck and pockets.
2. Overcast side, step sections, sections of the seat and bow.
3. Stitch and carefully iron the reliefs, side and step cuts. At the same time, we do not grind the side cut on the left to the end, leaving a fragment of the seam under the zipper.
4. We sew lightning.
5. We grind and iron the seam of the bow. Only a bow with a small "entry" on the seat. This is done for the convenience of trying on trousers.

7. We process the belt: we duplicate and iron it in half lengthwise, that is, according to the type denim belt
8. We grind the blank of the belt, cutting it in the place of the unsewn seam of the seat. Next, we process the belt, as in a skirt.
9. Fitting. We sweep the seam of the seat and the belt, try on, specify the waist and the fit of the trousers.
10. We grind the seam of the seat with two lines, stretching under the machine. The distance between the lines is 0,1 - 0,2 cm. We iron the seam, we overcast the ends of the belt and hem it on a typewriter or manually.
11. We hem the bottom into a hem with an open cut - overcast and fold it once, fasten with a stitch or manually.
