The level of difficulty in sewing boho trousers depends on the chosen processing option - from simple to medium. This pattern is for those who have already mastered the sewing of simple trousers with their own hands. The style is suitable only for slender girls with narrow hips.

The set of patterns for boho trousers includes (Fig. 1):

• PP patterns with and without a pocket;
• pattern ZP;
• as well as a pattern of burlap valance and pocket valance.

The belt pattern is not included with the kit, as the belt is a strip of fabric. Further in the description, read how to cut it. The facing pattern is also not included in the set of patterns, but the cutting of the facing is given in the description and is carried out according to the same patterns of PP and RFP.

For sewing these trousers, it is better to use thin and very thin, stable fabrics. For example, thin dress jeans, dress cotton satin, shirt chintz, thin linen and poplin.

Fabric consumption with a width of 140 cm will be from 170 to 200 cm.

How to cut women's boho pants

Before opening the trousers of the boho model, it is very important to determine their length. Adjust the length if necessary in the knee area. The correction area is highlighted on the patterns by hatching. If you need it shorter, lay the stock on the patterns and pin it off with a pin, if longer, you will have to cut it at the knee level and glue a strip of paper. But the lengthening of the pattern threatens only girls with a height of 170 cm.

After the length, you should decide on the processing option: will you have a pocket, belt or facing. If there is a pocket, then from what fabric will you cut the burlap - from the same as the trousers or from another.

If the burlap is from another fabric, you will use the “valance” detail in the cutting. What will be the facing - regular or custom.

In addition, it is important to decide what type of fastener you will have - a trouser type or a zipper in the side seam (I do not recommend making a fastener in the seam of the seat - the zipper will quickly deteriorate due to stress on the seam).

Having thought over these nuances, you can start cutting. Consider seam allowances for all possible options (Fig. 2).

On the side, step, the entrance to the pocket and the bow - 1 - 1,2 cm.

We do not add along the waist section.

To process the bottom into a hem with a closed cut (fold twice) - 2 cm.

For a trouser clasp - a protrusion along the bow 3 - 3,5 cm.

The margin along the seam of the seat is up to 4 cm.

In addition, to save money when cutting, you can cut out the RFP with an additional cut. In this case, the length of the wedge of the attachment should not exceed 12 cm.

Please note that we do not cut out the tucks on the bottom. We cut off the excess in the process of processing them. The straight lines of the side seams will help us navigate relative to the share when cutting, and it is more convenient to cut out the tucks along the ironing lines after grinding. True, experienced tailors can cut tucks immediately with an allowance of 1 - 1,2 cm.

A few words about cutting the facing (Fig. 3).

We cut off 4 cm of PP and RFP from the patterns. We glue the fragments of the patterns end-to-end and cut them out of doubler without allowances for seams, like a regular facing.

But after gluing dublerin, options with allowances are possible. Of course, we repeat them: we don’t add an allowance for the waist, 1 cm for the side seam, 1 cm for the bow in any case, and up to 4 cm for the seam and margin for the seat. The allowance for the take-off cut depends on the processing.

If this is a regular facing, which will be from the inside of the trousers, then the detachable cut will be overcast or edged and no allowance is required for it.

If this is a tuning facing, which will be on the front side of the trousers, then a hem of 1 - 1,2 cm will be required along the detachable cut.

A little bit more about facings instead of a belt

And finally, cut yourself (Fig. 4), which does not present any difficulty. The fabric is folded in half face to face, the edges are aligned and parallel to the edge of the cutting table.

Patterns are stacked taking into account the shared direction. Shared PP and ZP should be perpendicular to the bottom line or parallel to the ironing line.

Burlap will need 4 pieces.

Belt - strips of fabric.

Width of the belt in cutting = 2 widths of the belt in finished form + 2 cm.

Half of the belt is duplicated with doubler or interlining.

How to sew women's boho pants with your own hands step by step

We start, like sewing other trousers, with the processing of pockets, warehouses and tucks at the waist of the RFP, and then we perform WTO - wet heat treatment. It will be enough to slightly pull back the ZP of the trousers along the cut of the seat and along the step cut above the knee.

Further, side and step cuts, tucks along the bottom, again ironing, fastening and processing of the waist cut of each leg of the trousers.

Attention! Pants should come out of two separate halves - left and right, connected only in the area of ​​\uXNUMXb\uXNUMXbthe fastener (or bow, if the fastener is in the side seam).

After that, the seam of the seat is swept up and the fitting is performed.

The fitting is carried out, as in men's trousers. At the end, it remains only to stitch-iron the seam of the seat, process the bottom and the buttonhole.

I would also like to highlight two small questions that home couturiers may have when sewing this model.

How will the zipper in the side seam fit with the side seam pocket?

The pocket entry line "meets" the side seam quite low - at a distance of 24 cm from the waist. The level of the hips in the vast majority of cases in adult girls and women is located at a distance of 18 cm down from the waist, the same length and a short zipper. That is, the fastener in the side seam ends above the pocket line.

Why is the marking of the tuck on the burlap valance done?

When sewing a pocket of the “cut-off barrel” type in a product for a female figure, it is very important to “lay” a tuck into it. Usually, the tuck is located along the line of entry into the pocket. You can see this in all the pictures.

To achieve a good fit of these trousers at the top, you can make a tuck on the “burlap-valance” detail. On the “burlap” details - lay an arbitrary soft warehouse so that it does not coincide with this tuck. You will perform the top backtack of the pocket along the tuck. This will not only make it easier to fit, but also make the pocket in pants made of fairly thin fabric more durable.
