In the set of patterns you see three shelves (picture 1) and only one back.

A shelf with a small gathering is suitable for sewing from dense thin fabrics. For example, such as shirt chintz or poplin. The assembly or soft fold is laid only near the half-skid (the middle line of the shelf) and no further than 3 cm from it.

For very thin fabrics, a shelf with a slightly larger fit is provided, which can be distributed over the assembly over a larger area - approximately to the middle of the armhole in height (see a photo). This style is suitable for delicate fabrics such as batiste and chiffon, as well as soft fabrics such as staple.

Shelf-lining can be used for products with a double shelf or for products "on the cover", as well as for two-layer products. The “lining” shelf is not congruent to the “top” shelf, but the cut of its neck and the cut of the neck of the “neck” part are the same.

The cuts of the armholes of all the shelves are the same. As you know, when sewing light products “on a cover” or with a double shelf, it is enough to connect the “lower” shelf (cover) along the neck and armhole with the “top”.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the details of the "neck".

It can be made both from the main fabric and from the companion fabric, and also crocheted or embroidered using the "lace" technique on a water-soluble interlining.

The hose is non-stop, does not require stitching and docking at the upper point of the eyelet, which is located exactly in the middle of the hose.

Seam allowances for cutting blouses

Seam allowances are normal, except for the "neck" part.

Under the usual allowances are meant 1 - 1,2 cm along the side, shoulder seams and along the front-back seams of the sleeve.

An allowance of 1 - 1,2 cm is also added along the cut of the attachment of the "neck" part.

No seam allowances are added along the armhole, sleeve collar and sprout (this is the name of the neck of the back).

Allowances on the bottom - at will and based on the method of processing. Usually in such blouses the bottom is processed with a rolled seam, it is also called a “rolled seam”. Don't confuse it with the overlock stitch. In addition, the bottom can be speared or processed with a Moscow seam. For these processing options, seam allowances are not required or they are minimal - 1 - 1,2 cm.

Pattern features

For the “neck” part, if it is made of fabric, add 1–1,2 cm across all sections. In this case, it is more convenient to cut the “neck” part in a turn.

If the product is without a cover and without a double shelf, you will need two “neck” parts. If there is one detail on the cover or on the lining, since the “lower” shelf or cover will play the role of the lower facing.

Cutting boho blouses with sleeves is very simple. The fabric is folded in half face to face, and the details are laid in the middle line on the fold. To save money, of course, you can make a back with a middle seam, but in thin fabrics, the middle seam does not look good.

How to sew this blouse with your own hands step by step

Sewing this blouse can cause difficulty only when processing the "neck" of thin fabric. In this case, it is recommended to use a regular or water-soluble interlining.

A thin knitted dublerin of a similar color is also suitable. In thickness, it is commensurate with chiffon and cambric, but has an adhesive layer and holds its shape well without adding rigidity.

1. If the “neck” part is double, then turning both blanks along the cut of the neck is best done at the beginning of sewing.
2. Run an edging and fasten, and then connect it to the shelf along the upper part, overcast the cut of the lower one and cover the seam with the assembly with it.
3. The assembly, especially the larger one, should be easily adjustable so that it can be distributed in descending order from the center to the shoulder.
4. It is better to turn over the neck of the back so that the facing does not shine through on thin fabric.
5. Then connect the shoulder seams with a backstitch or double seam, sew in the sleeve, side seams and process the bottom.
