How to cut a boho blouse with your own hands

Patterns of the back and shelves for boho blousesPreparation for cutting should begin with the imposition of lace on the patterns of the back and shelves. Having applied the lace, mark its “lower” and “upper” teeth on the patterns (picture 2). Bend the patterns, stepping back from the "lower" teeth to the cuts of the neck by 1,5 - 2 cm.

After you have bent the patterns to the desired width, you can start cutting.

Seam allowances 1 cm along the side, shoulder seams, along the middle seam of the back and along the bottom, as well as along the side seams of the sleeves and along the sections of the frill "as in the photo". No seam allowances are added along the armholes, neckline, hem, recesses and cuts of the flounces.

Please also note that the frill, intended for stitching along the bottom of the blouse, is an unpaired part, that is, we cut it out by laying out the fabric in one layer (picture 3).

Consider cutting blouses in more detail. It consists of two stages:

  • the first - cutting out the back, shelves, sleeves and frill for sleeves;
  • the second is cutting out a shuttlecock that goes along the bottom.

For the first stage, the fabric is folded in half, the edges are aligned, the parts are laid in the desired share direction: the shelf is half-sliding to the fold, the back is the middle line to the edge, the sleeve is share along the center line, the frill for the sleeve is share along the diagonal of the square.

When cutting the front and back, a lace border line is applied to the details of the cut.

When the details are cut out, the fabric unfolds and a shuttlecock is cut out. The rest of the fabric can also be used to cut out the shuttlecock to make it more fluffy. To do this, you can take any fragment of a pattern of a large shuttlecock.

How to sew a blouse step by step with your own hands

Sewing a blouse is not difficult for experienced tailors, but has some peculiarities.

Flounce pattern for the bottom of a boho blouse in one layerThe most important point is to connect the lace at a right angle with the combination of the pattern. The task is simplified for those who use computer embroidery lace, in which the corners were originally designed.

For example, ideally suited for this task lace designer Anibell

The finished lace is superimposed according to the markup on the shelf, back, sleeve and adjusted with a narrow small zigzag. Then, the excess fabric is cut off with small scissors.

After that, the blouse can be assembled using a double or sewing seam

Before connecting with the bottom of the sleeve and the bottom of the blouse, it is advisable to pre-process the sections of the stitching of the flounces - lay two “weak” lines that are used to complete the assembly.

The open cut of the shuttlecocks is pickled or processed with a roll or Moscow seam.
