The set of patterns includes patterns for the back, shelves (middle part and side) and selection; two sleeves with markings in three lengths - tapered and straight; two collars - a shirt collar on a one-piece stand and a turn-down collar (suitable for both fastening to the top and for an open neck, that is, with a lapel). In addition, the set of dress patterns includes a notch for cutting the “sun” skirt (Fig. 1).

For tailoring, you can use various stable fabrics of the dress range. For the summer version, artificial linen and poplin are ideal. A thin denim would also look good. For spring-autumn, we can recommend dress "wool" and dense silk.

Before cutting, pay attention to the fact that the fastener of the bodice can be cut out in three versions.

The simplest cutting option (Fig. 2) is to combine, by gluing the patterns of the middle part of the shelf and the edge with adhesive tape butt (Fig. 2 in the upper bubble).

The second option is hidden clasp. In this case, the selection detail is not needed.

For treThere is another option with a trim bar - the traditional processing of the bead for shirts, we use only the middle part of the shelf for cutting. And the width of the plank, which should be cut along the oblique thread, will be 5 cm (Fig. 2 in the lower bubble).

Let's figure out where such a width comes from. Consider the patterns of the middle part of the shelf and the edge (Fig. 2): notches on the patterns show the vertical position of the half-skid, and the distance between the half-skid and the edge of the bead is 1,5 cm.

The width of the bar is double the width between the half-skid and the edge of the bead plus two 1 cm seam allowances.

Other seam allowances: on the side, shoulder shelves-backs - 1 cm, on the bottom 3,5 - 4 cm, the front and elbow sections of the sleeve - 1 cm, the bottom of the narrowed sleeve 2,5 - 3 cm, and the allowance on the bottom of the wide sleeve may not be added.

Let me remind you that allowances are NOT ADDED along the sprout, neckline, armholes and sleeve hem, since by adding them you will make the curves shorter. On the curved lines of the sprout, neckline, armhole and rim, we circle the pattern and cut it out beyond the stroke line.

On the collar - around 0,7 - 1 cm ... but ... with collars, everything is not so simple ...

It is recommended to cut out the collar after the first fitting, so as not to miss its size. That is, we cut out the collar according to the size of the neck of the bodice and immediately not from fabric, but from interlining or dublerin WITHOUT seam allowances.

Then, we paste the dubbing on the rest of the fabric, observing the desired fractional direction, and only then cut it out with allowances for the seams.
