I will try to be brief and talk only about those points that may not be clear from the video of master classes on sewing collars.
In the photo and figures 1 - 3 you see patterns of "triple-use" collars.
They can be both female patterns and male ones; be part of a product or an independent object, and in some cases serve as jewelry.
Patterns 10 styles of collars in a set for a video lesson
As you might guess, all collars are not single-layer, but consist of an upper, lower collar and an adhesive pad (doublerin, interlining or collar fabric).
Having made a template for a collar from thick paper or thin cardboard, we cut out dubbing on it.
At the same time,It is advisable to pre-measure the length of the neck of the product that has already been tried on.
For your measurements to be accurate, fold the product in half, armhole to armhole, align the shoulder, side cuts and bands.
Pin the sides of the product with pins along the shoulder seams, sides, neck and sprout, and then measure the length of the neck of your blouse or dress.
The length of the neck of the product should be equal to or slightly greater (by 0,5 - 1 cm) than the length of the collar pattern along the stitching cut.
If the pattern is longer, we shorten it, as shown in the video
How to sew a collar, option 1
If the length is insufficient, the template should be lengthened, that is, we make a new template by shifting the middle collar in the direction of its lengthening.
We impose the finished pattern on the dubbing folded in half or circle it twice.
Stroke done with a pen, pencil or a pale felt-tip pen.
Attention! WE CUT THE STRING OF THE PATTERN!!!
Of course, we cut very close to it.
We place the cut-out dubbing on the fabric in the desired fractional direction or according to the pattern, as I did in the video.
Then we glue the dubbing and cut out the workpiece with the allowances we need - 0,7 - 1 cm.
We cut out the second collar according to this blank, without adding additional allowances.
Thus, we get two congruent collars - upper and lower - and we can move on to sewing.

The operation of connecting two collar blanks with their subsequent eversion is called COLLAR TURNING.
Turning the collar has some features that you can learn from the second video.
How to sew a collar video option 2
Collars on a one-piece stand are processed in the same way, with the exception that after cutting the allowance, a notch should be made in the corner (Fig. 5). Otherwise, the collar cannot be turned out.
After turning the collar, do not rush to lay the finishing line. In some products, it is better to lay it after the collar is connected to the product.
In conclusion, I will say that on my site there are female and male patterns with the above collars and you can download them for free or at a reasonable price.
