In fact, the technology of sewing a coat is no more complicated than the technology of sewing a dress.

Simplification has come with the advent of “new generation” fabrics and applied materials that do not require laborious ironing operations and highly skilled sewing skills.

In a word, even if you are a home couturier, it is worth sewing yourself.

Of course, every woman has her own idea of ​​a little black dress. If we talk about the author of this idea, Coco Chanel, then she may have had in mind the dress that she had in the orphanage - as simple as possible without complicating elements.

Perhaps a more accurate translation of "la petite robe noire" would be "little black dress."

In my opinion, only a sheath dress fits this idea.

To decide on sewing outerwear with your own hands, you need a certain courage or skill. Therefore, beginner couturiers sew a fur vest much more often.

Indeed, sewing it is not difficult and much easier than cutting it, even with a ready-made pattern.

At the same time, the tailoring of an already cut vest made of natural and artificial fur differs slightly, if you followed my instructions when cutting.

Sewing a biker jacket is not particularly difficult (see also "Pattern of a leather jacket" and "How to cut a leather jacket").

First, we collect the “top” of the product (Fig. 1) - we grind and iron the seams.

If the material cannot be ironed (genuine leather, leather substitutes, suede, velor), lay out the allowances of each seam and glue them adhesive tape for leather.
Do not forget that the "lightning" is sewn immediately into the right relief of the shelf. In this case, the lower end of the "lightning" should not go into the bottom allowance.

Please note: the allowances on the bottom of the parts are different: on the bottom of the "middle part of the shelf" just 0,5 - 0,7 cm is enough.

The product can be tried on or put on a mannequin to mark the position of pockets, belts and straps, if any.

There are several easy ways:

1. Drawstring skirts with a narrow elastic band (the elastic band is pulled through with a pin).
2. Drawstring skirt with a wide (2 - 5 cm) elastic band.
3. A skirt with a wide elastic band instead of a belt.
4. Elasticated skirt 1 cm wide, stitched in a zigzag pattern.
