Description of the style and what to sew the jumpsuit from
A simple pattern for women's overalls with a raglan sleeve and an anorak hood.
The silhouette is free.
The pattern is designed for sewing with stretch and knit fabrics, it is not suitable for sewing with stable fabrics.
This jumpsuit can be sewn from footer, fleece, jersey, cooler fabric (cooler) and other elastic fabrics.
Fabric consumption with a width of 180 cm (footer and cooler) will be 180 - 250 cm, depending on the size.
Fabric consumption with a width of 140 - 150 cm will be 230 - 270 cm.
For cuffs, it is recommended to use cuff knitwear (“cuff”, “dovyaz”). The consumption of the cuff "pipe" will be about 25 - 30 cm, depending on the desired cuff width.
The burlap and the lower hood can be cut out from another fabric.
For example, if you are sewing a jumpsuit from a footer with a thick felt fleece, then it is better to cut out the burlap and the lower hood from a stretch lining fabric or from a cooler.

Do-it-yourself jumpsuit pattern features
First you need to measure the length.
More precisely, you need to measure the following lengths on the figure and on the pattern for later comparison:
- Di - the length of the product from the 7th cervical vertebra down the spine to the level of the heel.
- Dst - the length of the back to the waist from the 7th cervical vertebra to the waist.
- Db - the length of the trousers on the side from the waist down.
- Dr - sleeve length from the side point of the neck over the shoulder and bent elbow.
After comparing the lengths, adjust the length of the pattern taking into account the width of the cuffs in the finished form, do not forget about a slight overlap of the legs and sleeves (2 - 3 cm) and you can start cutting.
There is no need to make seam allowances, since you sew the overalls on an overlock with a knitted seam.
To the question “do not make allowances at all?”, I will answer the following: when you circle the pattern with a chalk line and cut it out, keeping the stroke line. The resulting seam allowance will be sufficient.
Pattern layouts for different sizes of overalls are shown in Figures 2 - 5
Let's consider each.
On the 2 drawing shows an approximate layout on a fabric 180 cm wide for small sizes. Cutting is done in two stages. The fabric is folded in half face to face along the width of the back and front. First, cut out the back, shelf and hood details. Please note that you need four side parts of the hood - 2 for the top and 2 for the bottom, and two middle parts - one for the top and one for the bottom hood.
The rest of the fabric can be folded across and the sleeves cut out. We cut burlap pockets from lunges.
How to cut a medium-sized jumpsuit from a fabric 180 cm wide is shown in 3 drawing - everything is laid out in one step.
With a width of 140-150 cm, the layout of small sizes will be approximately as in 4 drawing, and medium sizes - as on 5 drawing.
After cutting, make a notch along the length of the zipper on the shelf. It may not match the notch in the drawing. For ease of assembly, it is also desirable to make notches at the waist.
Cutting cuffs is not difficult - these are rectangles, strips of fabric.
Cuff Width = Finished Width + 2cm
Cuff length = Wrist or ankle circumference + 2cm
How to sew women's overalls at home step by step
We start by setting up the knit stitch on the overlock and setting up a narrow zigzag.
- If you are processing front pockets and PP trousers, start with them.
- Stitch the raglan sleeve along the raglan seams on the overlocker and iron them.
- Sew the side and crotch seams on the overlocker and iron them. If the pockets are in the side seams, then first stitch the burlap to the side cuts.
- Sew the middle seam of the back, seat and bow in a narrow zigzag pattern, matching the reference points. Overcast the sections each separately on the overlock and iron the seam.
- Gather the hood in a narrow zigzag and iron the seams.
- Sew on the hood.
- Attach the zipper.
- Process the cuffs: iron in half lengthwise, sew the ends and iron the seam seam.
- Stitch the cuffs to the bottom of the sleeves and the bottom of the trousers.
- Sew finishing stitches in the desired places.
