2.2. Description of the design of summer jumpsuit with short sleeve kimono

Ready-made patterns of summer overalls with a short kimono and pockets photo 2This is a jumpsuit with a semi-adjacent silhouette with a detachable detail on the right.

Pocket - cutting barrel. Burlap-turning and burlap-valance are NOT CONGRUENT, since the tuck is laid in the line of entry into the pocket.

Overalls with semi-reliefs. For convenience, they are signed as "reliefs" on the pattern and in the further description.

The patterns reflect two options for armholes - the usual form and "straight" (as in the photo).

Pants are slightly tapered. Added partial length markup.

3. What to sew, fabric consumption, how to download patterns

3.1. What to sew and how to calculate fabric consumption

Patterns of women's summer kimono overalls with pockets photo 3The most suitable for this model are thin natural cotton and linen fabrics.

For example, very thin denim without elastane or other synthetic additives will work well.

Cotton satin, poplin, linen, chintz - ideal.

Consumption with a width of 140-150 cm will be from 270 to 300 cm. When calculating the consumption, the full length of the trousers was taken into account.

4. How to cut a women's jumpsuit with a short sleeve kimono according to a finished pattern

Patterns of summer overalls with a one-piece sleeve photo 4The model has unpaired details of the middle part of the bodice of the shelf: the right shelf of the bodice goes into a detachable part, and the left one is short, up to the waist.

To reduce fabric consumption, the layout should be done in a turn - spreading the fabric in one layer (picture 2). In order not to turn over unpaired shelves, it is better to cut on the front side, laying out unpaired patterns with inscriptions up.

Seam allowances 1 cm. Exceptions: sprout (back neck) without allowances; the bottom of the trousers and the side 2,5 - 3 cm.

How to cut a summer jumpsuit with a one-piece sleeve according to a finished pattern (Figure 2)As for the armhole allowance, no allowance is needed for regular “rounded” armholes. The drawing has lines and marks for a regular armhole, but on photo of this model the armhole has a straight section, which is processed into a hem. Therefore, we add an allowance in the section of the “straight” armhole 2 - 2,5 cm, and in the remaining sections - 1 cm.

After cutting, a notch is made along the side seams at the level of the knee, for which all the side seams are folded together. The same notch must be performed on all step seams. These notches are needed for high-quality grinding of seams.

In addition, you will need notches on the RFP - you need to cut the tuck at the waist in order to cleanly process the relief.

Mandatory notch at the waist on the detachable detail.

After cutting, do not forget to add the markings of the entry lines to the pocket on the barrels of the shelf and half-skid. It is advisable to outline the waist line on the flyaway part. It is better to outline these lines with a lining stitch so that they are preserved until the product is ready.

Open the belt

Belt - two strips of fabric.

Width of the belt in cutting = Width of the belt in finished form + 2 cm

Belt length = about 70 - 100 cm

The facings for the sprout are cut out according to the pattern of the bodice of the back, if the sprout is not processed in another way.

We cut out the facings first from dublerin (picture 2 in a bubble) with a width of 3 - 3,5 cm without seam allowances, and then glue it on the fabric and add 1 cm allowances along the middle and side seam.

We cut out the dubbing for the sides along the shared thread, if this doubler. Strips 2,5 - 3 cm wide, that is, along the width of the laid allowance for bending the side.

5. How to sew jumpsuit step by step for summer at home

First, let's consider whether we need a clasp. If the jumpsuit is loose enough, and if you sew it on a thin girl with narrow hips, then you can do without fasteners.

But in my opinion, lightning is desirable. You can make a fastener along the left side seam or along the middle seam at the back.

Notches and markings have already been applied to the details of the cut, and if the sides are glued, you can start sewing:

  1. Assembling the back of the overalls: sew the back of the bodice to the RFP along the waist, iron the seam and overcast; perform a hem along a straight cut of the armhole, iron; stitch the relief of the back, overcast and iron.
  2. Sweep and iron the backrest-ZP, sweep the middle seam. Of course, it can be stitched right away if you are not interested in a fine fit.
  3. "Middle" parts of the shelf: we grind and iron the darts for the chest; bend, sweep and iron the sides.
  4. We continue to assemble the front of the overalls: stitch, overcast and iron the seam of the bow; sew the left shelf of the bodice to the PP of the trousers at the waist (we don’t sew only the hem, let it remain in the “free” state for now); overcast waist seam and iron.
  5. Place the flyaway part of the shelf on the right PP of the trousers and baste with large (5 - 7 cm) oblique stitches, departing from the cuts of the entrance to the pocket and the side seam by 1,5 - 2 cm.
  6. Process the pockets, taking into account that the burlap-valance and the burlap-turning are not congruent and the tuck at the waist is “laid” along the line of the entrance to the pocket: stitch the cut of the entrance to the pocket with burlap; stitch and overcast burlap; perform bindings. Do not forget to iron after each operation.
  7. Then, we bend the armhole (if it is “straight”) and all that remains is to stitch and overcast the relief of the shelf. At the same time, ironing should be done literally after each line.
  8. Turn the sprout.
  9. Make a belt and sew it in place.
  10. Process the shoulder seams, bending around the shoulder seam with a selection and finish the processing of the sides by completing the finishing lines.
  11. The side seams can be sewn or basted if you want to fit.
  12. Try on and adjust the product along the side seams and along the middle seam of the back.
  13. Finish sewing seams.
  14. Bottom - in a hem with an open or closed cut (single hem with overcasting or double hem).
