How to cut a summer blouse for beginners with a lantern sleeve

The cutting of this blouse is very simple. Let's start with the fact that we will deal with the share direction and the names of lines and slices.

Please note that the back pattern has both a center line (straight) and a center seam (curve).

With a straight middle line, we have the shared thread of the part. You can cut the blouse using both the middle line, if you want the blouse looser at the waist, and the middle seam (picture 1).

Which cut option to choose?

Pay attention to the figure: if the lumbar deflection is large, then the choice is in favor of the seam, if insignificant, then in favor of the midline. If you will sometimes wear a blouse without a belt, then the middle seam with a bend is also preferable.

The share line of the shelf also coincides with its middle line, which is called the semi-skid.

The fractional line of the flashlight sleeve is along the part. The flashlight sleeve in this model is very wide, more precisely, as wide as the fabric allows.

Shorten or lengthen if necessary lantern sleeve pattern you can make a fold or cut on the pattern, as shown in 2 drawing.

To process the neck, we need a facing, which can be cut out according to the product during the sewing process or according to the same patterns as the shelf and back (picture 2).

The optimal width of the facing is 3 - 4 cm. We cut it out of doubler without seam allowances. We use the received parts later.

1. We fold the fabric in half face to face, combine the edges and place them parallel to the edge of the cutting table.
2. We lay the patterns taking into account the shared direction and allowances for the seams.
3. The seam allowances are as follows: add 1 cm along the middle seam of the back, side, shoulder and bottom, as well as at the joining points of the facings - along the shoulder and middle seams (figure 2 и 3).
4. Please note that no seam allowances are needed for the sprout (back neckline) and neckline, armholes and sleeves. As for the belt, allowances are added or not added at your request.

About the lantern sleeve pattern:

You can safely choose the largest size in the gradation, even if you wear the smallest one - and allowances are not needed.

It is advisable to cut out the details for sewing a blouse according to a pattern with your own hands in the sequence:

1. back,
2. shelves,
3. sleeve,
4. then the belt
5. and at the end of the turn.

Please note that the dubbing parts of the facings should be glued to the fabric with a hot iron and only then, cut out the blanks of the facings with the necessary allowances for the seams.

How to sew a summer blouse with a lantern sleeve step by step for beginners

1. We start sewing by stitching and ironing the darts and the middle seam. If a fastener is needed, the sections of the middle seam of the back are overcast, then, they are not completely sewn off and the seam is ironed out. The clasp is almost ready.
2. After the darts and the middle seam of the back, we grind, iron and overcast the shoulder and side seams. You can already stitch the belt and connect the fragments of the facing together, and iron the seams and overcast the detachable cut.
3. Please note that literally after each line you have to resort to an iron. Do not neglect ironing work.
4. Now the flashlight sleeve. To facilitate the task, you can start by processing the bottom of the sleeve. The easiest way is to pick or roll seam and continue 2-3 lines with rubber thread.

6. Next, it is necessary to assemble the sleeve by machine or by hand. In this case, the assembly is carried out along the entire length of the okat (upper cut of the sleeve), but it is distributed unevenly - in the upper part of the okon (protruding), the assembly should be denser than in the lower (at hand).
