How to cut a new look dress

Cutting and sewing such dresses are not particularly difficult. But beginner couturiers may have questions about the processing of the neck and armholes.

As mentioned above, it is advisable to make patterns before buying fabric in order to be able to accurately calculate the consumption.

In addition to the patterns of the shelf and back, you will also need facing patterns (picture 2), which will process the neckline and aboutyima.

Facing can be cut immediately from dublerin without allowances for seams according to the same patterns of the shelf and back.

In this case, “combined” facings will be more convenient.

The cutting process itself is no longer difficult (picture 3).

Patterns are located in the most economical way, while, of course, the shelf is laid with a half-slide on the fold of the fabric.

If you need savings, turning can consist of parts - "additional stitches".

Seam allowances 1 - 1,5 cm, with the exception of the neckline and armholes - they are cut out beyond the stroke line of the patterns.

Before ironing or ironing, each seam should be slightly pulled back at the waist and notched so that it does not tighten.
