The model is suitable for slender girls and women. Can be sewn from any stable fabric that is not too thin and not too wrinkled. Artificial linen, poplin, jacquard, heavy silk are well suited. The dress in the photo is sewn from inexpensive artificial linen.

Fabric consumption depends on the length of the skirt and the length of the "train", so it is advisable to perform the layout before buying the fabric. Approximately 2,3 m of fabric was used to sew the sample, not including the companion fabric.

The set of patterns for this model includes drawings of the following patterns (Fig. 1): two parts of the shelf, a back, a sleeve for half an armhole and a recess pattern for a sun skirt, according to which a template should be made. This model is not a dress for beginners, as it will require you to have cutting and sewing skills.

We start cutting by making a template for the "sun" skirt and patterns. Pay attention to how the shelf pattern should be made (Fig. 2). Further, cutting will take place in several stages (Fig. 3).

Fold the fabric in half, aligning the edges, and cut out the back - two symmetrical parts, unfold the fabric and cut out the details of the shelf one by one.

Normal allowances: shoulder, side, shelf relief - 1 - 1,5 cm; on the bottom of the bodice - about 3 cm; sprout, neck, armhole - for the line of the outline of the pattern.

After that, we assemble the bodice, covering the warehouses completely, and perform the fitting. The zipper is easier to place in the middle seam on the back.

Then, having measured the exact length of the stitching seam of the "sun" skirt, we make a recess template using a size that exceeds the exact length of the stitching seam by 2 - 3 cm. We will need this small margin of seam length not only for a small fit of the skirt, but also for the middle seam .

The fabric is folded in half, the template is placed on the fold and outlined, Du + 1 or 2 cm is measured from the stroke. The skirt is cut exactly along the stroke line of the template. Thus, on the fold line of the fabric, we get the middle line of the skirt - a half-skid in front and the middle seam of the skirt in the back. Please note that the middle seam should NOT coincide with the shared thread, therefore, we cut off a small fragment of the “sun” along the fold, stepping back about 2 cm along the bottom.

On the lunge, a sleeve pattern is placed on one side, and on the other, a rectangular or obtuse triangle is drawn, which will go to the “train”. The fabric is still folded in half.

Now let's do a little transformation of the triangle. We proceed from the fact that the line of connection with the bodice should be 10 - 12 cm long, and the length of the "train" along the hypotenuse (for an obtuse triangle - along the longest side) is approximately Du.

We retreat from the right angle about 2 cm so as not to fall on the lobar and transverse thread. If the sides of the triangle do NOT coincide with the shared and transverse directions, then there is no need to retreat.

After cutting the skirt "sun", sleeves and "train", work on the dress enters the most interesting phase - the second fitting is carried out, where you can make the last adjustments to the product and evaluate the overall appearance of the product.
