Drawing of a set of patterns, which is printed from a pdf pattern in full sizeSewing difficulty level: medium, that is, the pattern for couturier beginners is not suitable. This dress will require experience and skills.

The set of patterns for the Tatyanka-new-look dress consists only of bodice patterns (picture 1).
The Tatyanka skirt is a strip of fabric, therefore it is not included in the kit, but how it should be cut out is shown in the layout drawings.

Please note that the set includes two upper parts of the shelf bodices - one with a tuck and the other with small pleats. In addition to the neck "under the neck" you can choose the neck "mysik" or the neck "boat". And the back can be with or without a deep neckline.

When choosing a neckline for a dress, pay attention to the fact that the “toe” goes well with the “boat”: in front of the “boat”, behind the “toe” or vice versa.

A shelf with a tuck is suitable for both the “lower” bodice and the “upper” bodice, while the tuck can be processed as a soft warehouse (see photo of red dress).Pattern drawing in file

All patterns are made without seam allowances.

Fabric consumption and what to sew such detachable NewLook dresses from

The consumption of fabric directly depends on the length and splendor of the Tatyanka skirt. As a rule, the cost of a Tatyanka skirt is one Du (Skirt length) or two Du.

Therefore, the fabric consumption formula looks like this:

Expenditures for bodice + Du + skirt hem

Or, if you need a magnificent "Tatyanka" for a thin girl:

Expenditure on the bodice + 2Du + 2 allowances for the hem of the skirt

The cost of the bodice for dDress with the processing of the tuck in the bodice as a soft pleatThis model is calculated after determining the method of processing the bodice - facing or double bodice. On a single bodice, processed with facings, you will need about 70 cm, on a double one - about 130 cm. This is with a fabric width of 140 cm.

The style of this dress is suitable only for slender, but the figure can combine two sizes. For example, a “tatyanka” made of thin fabric hides large hips well, and if the hips are very narrow, then a lush “double tatyanka” made of “voluminous” fabric will increase them.

What to sew a Tatyanka-new look dress from?

Any stable fabric can be used for sewing. Both natural and artificial fabrics are suitable. You can sew a new bow dress from chintz, linen, staple, poplin and silk. Chiffon dresses may require a "double tatyanka" and a double bodice. Jacquard and velvet will also look good. Stable knitwear is not included in the list of exceptions, but you need to approach its choice carefully.

Features of a do-it-yourself pattern of a detachable dress Tatyanka new bow with such a bodice

Dress pattern with a double bodiceAs you already understood, before cutting, you should decide not only on the style and shape of the neckline, but also on the method of processing the bodice.

Consider two main options - a double bodice and piping.

In any case, seam allowances are 1 cm, except for necklines and armholes - they are cut out beyond the line of the outline of the pattern, that is, with an actual allowance of 0,3 - 0,5 cm.

For the Tatyanka skirt, we add an allowance depending on the method of processing the bottom. In most cases, this is a wide hem with a closed or open cut. In other words, it folds two times or one. It is from 3,5 to 5 cm.

Layout for a product with a double bodice (picture 2) has one interesting feature: the details of the "top" and the details of the "bottom" can be cut out in different share directions. This improves the fit of the product on the figure.

In this case, the option with “oblique” details of the “lower” belt is considered, and the “lower” back has a share along the cutout line to prevent stretching.

Pattern of facings when sewing a dressPlease note that the patterns of the upper and lower (with a tuck) bodice are laid with a half-slip (middle line) on the fold of the fabric.

The fabric can be folded in half with the edges aligned or so that the edges are parallel (picture 2) if it helps to save fabric.

Facing, as in other similar dresses, can be cut out according to the patterns of the front and back or according to the product (picture 3). But, if you are sewing a dress from one-colored fabric, it is very important that the facings do not have any additional edges. In the most extreme case, additional stitching is allowed in the area of the armhole of the back in its lower part.

The facings are cut out from adhesive interlining or dublerin without seam allowances and, after cutting the main parts, are glued to the remnants of the fabric. Only after gluing, they are cut out with the necessary allowances for the seams - 1 cm along the side, shoulder and middle seams.

Laying out pattern patterns on fabric for cuttingThe layout in this case is very simple (picture 4) - the share direction coincides with the middle lines of the parts.

How to sew a dress with a double bodice

  1. You should start with basting soft folds and / or processing darts. Then, the neck and armholes are turned - both on the back and on the shelf. At the same time, the shoulder and side seams remain unfinished.
  2. It is important to understand that the processing of the neck and armholes with “lower” details is carried out in almost the same way as with turning, but the lower bodice is often not duplicated.
  3. Then, the shoulder seams of the back are inserted into the shoulder seams of the shelf - the back is turned on the face, and the shelf is inside out. The open cuts are aligned and sewn down with a regular bartack stitch. When the product is turned inside out, the allowances are inside.
  4. You can do the same with the side seams.
  5. The upper and lower belts are first ground down along the side seams. If necessary, reguilin or “pockets” for “bones” can be sewn onto the lower belt and “bones” can be inserted.
  6. Admirers of "bones" and regilin should be warned: regilin is easily deformed and bends, if the dress is loose, the "bones" also spin in the "pockets". Such a reinforced belt should sit on the figure quite tightly, but without tightening, so that the “lightning” does not disperse.
  7. Of course, the “bones” should not reach the edge of the part by 1,2 cm. It is advisable to melt the sections of the “bones” and regilin with a lighter.
  8. When the "upper" and "lower" belts are ready, they are sewn to the bodice. And the bodice is connected to the "Tatyanka".
  9. The zipper is sewn to the “top”, and then the “lining” is sewn or hand-sewn to it.
