Making masks with your own hands is an annual exercise for children and their parents.
Therefore, Vera Olkhovskaya offers free patterns for Owl and Ladybug masks.
Masks are easy to make, both from colored cardboard and felt.
To download a free mask pattern, click on the link of the desired mask file against the words "download attachment", and then in the window that opens, select the "save" option and save the file on your computer.
Read the instructions for printing patterns
Then open the file in Adobe Reader on the page with the right size maski (see printout) and check the following options:
the current page is selected and this is the page you really need, and the “poster” option (“print in parts”) is also enabled.
Now about how to choose the size of the mask pattern.
The Owl mask is given in sizes 20 - 26 and these are the widths of the largest part of the mask. That is, for a child, sizes 20 - 22 are most likely suitable, but it is better to take measurements of the desired width of the mask.
The Ladybug mask is given in sizes 16 - 20 and is intended for children only.
The sequence of work on the masks is as follows: first, all the details are cut out, then they are glued dotted onto each other and connected by machine or by hand, like a regular appliqué.
