But the staple for such sleeves is not very suitable - it is too soft and plastic. If you decide on a staple dress, you will have to make a hard podkatnik.

Consumption for "Tatyanka"

- about 250 cm. The calculation is based on the fact that for cutting the bodice and sleeves you will need 100 - 110 cm and two lengths for a tatyanka of 75 cm. It is better to recalculate based on your plan.

6. How to cut and sew a Tatyanka style dress

You should start by determining the length of the “tatyanka” (picture 2). We cut the bodice to the full length in order to shorten it to the desired length during the fitting. ON THE SAMPLE! not at the cutting stage.

Seam allowances 1 cm. Exceptions - fragments of the armhole and sleeve hem - we do not add seam allowances.

When calculating the length of the Tatyanka skirt, consider how much you shorten the bodice and how much you need to process the bottom.

Sewing should be in the sequence:

1. Gather the bodice with a zipper in the middle seam of the back.
2. Assemble the sleeve.
3. Connect the bodice and sleeve.
4. Collect skirt. With pockets, but the bottom can not be processed. Please note that pockets should be located at least 7 - 10 cm down from the real waist, and not from the top of the skirt. That is, when making notches for pockets, you need to consider how much you plan to shorten the bodice. Assume that it is better for the pockets to be a little lower than higher.
