The hood has a zipper at the front. Half-skid (the middle line of the product, clasps and figures of a man) - on the pattern of the hood is marked with notches (picture 3).

Double pocket. "Upper" pocket - the entrance is closed with a zipper, "lower" - two entrances like a "kangaroo" pocket.

The most suitable material for this style is the footer. From the footer with a thick fleece you get a coat dress.

A good alternative to footer is fleece. Also suitable for tight knitwear.

The footer consumption with a width of 180 cm will be from 190 to 230 cm, depending on the chosen size.

6. How to cut a dress - a hoodie sweatshirt with mittens according to a finished pattern

Open very simple.

Seam allowances are not required for most pieces. More precisely, seam allowances will only be needed for processing pockets (picture 2).

The fabric is folded in half facing out, as the fleece is easier to cut this way.

Patterns are laid out in the most economical way. We lay the shelf on the fold, the back - to the edges.

Please note that the mittens have a fold, that is, the pattern must be circled twice.

When cutting pocket details for further processing, we add “around” 2 cm each. Pocket details can be cut last or laid on the fold in the middle line, as shown in 2 drawing.

After cutting, we mark the semi-skid and the place of the pocket on the shelf.

7. How to sew hoodie dresses with mitts with your own hands

Before proceeding to sewing a dress, set up overlock.

Almost all stitching should perform on an overlock with a knitted seam.

Sewing sequence:

1. The processing of pockets begins with the manufacture of cardboard patterns for ironing.
   To iron the upper part of the "upper" pocket, cut the allowance.
   First, the allowances are ironed along the sections of the zipper stitching and the zipper can be sewn on.
   Then, the “upper” and “lower” pockets are ground down according to the allowance (it is possible with an indent of 1,5 cm from the pocket contour).
   The connected pockets are ironed on a cardboard template along the cuts of the entrances, these cuts are overcast and stitched with a double needle or a decorative stitch.
   After that, the pocket can be ironed on all sides on a cardboard template and stitched onto a shelf, of course, by removing the template.
2. Next, we grind the middle seam of the back on the overlock with a knitted seam.
   Iron.
3. The shoulder seams are also stitched with a knitted seam.
   It is advisable to put a strip of thin knitwear under the stitching line.
   For example, a strip of thin cooler fabric 1,5 - 2 cm wide.
   Iron.
4. Stitch the sleeves on the overlock, evenly distributing the collar of the sleeve along the armhole.
   Iron the seams.
5. Stitch the side-sleeve seams on the overlock.
   Iron.
6. Process the mitts.
   Make notches for the thumb hole according to the template.
   Iron in half along the fold line of the part.
   Sew in a narrow zigzag, connecting the mitts into a tube, leaving gaps where the finger holes should be.
   Iron the seam, turn out.
   Holes for the finger are turned in half with a narrow zigzag.
7. Process the hood.
   Start by marking the half-skid along the notches.
   Stitch along the midline of the hood itself and the facing.
   Stitch the "front" cut and sides.
   Fasten by aligning the half-skid lines.
   Darts can be processed or not processed, laying them in soft folds.
8. Stitch the hood in a zigzag or immediately on the overlock, after fastening the fastener.
9. Sew the mitts on the overlocker.
10. Process the bottom into a hem with an open cut or simply overcast.
    What does "open cut" mean?
    In this case, overcast with an overlocker, fold over once and topstitch with a twin needle, a cover or any stretch stitch.
