How to cut this straight-cut hoodie dress with semi-relief pockets

The only difficulty with this style is the pocket.

In order not to get confused with seam allowances, we deviate from the rule of not adding them for stretch, otherwise the notches of the pocket will not match.

When choosing a size, we pay attention to the allowances for a free fit - they are laid rather large Pg = 6 cm, Pb = 3 cm.

We also pay attention to the length of the product and the width of the sleeve. If the width seems insufficient to you, add along the front and back seams - there will not be much fit.

Consider seam allowances (pictures 2 и 3): 1 cm to all sections, except for the bottom and the front section of the hood - 2,5 - 3 cm along them, and we do not add an allowance for the seams to the sprout, neck, armhole and sleeve hem.

The share thread in the shelf, back and in the sleeve should coincide with the middle lines. Let me remind you that the middle line of the shelf is called a semi-skid. With a half-skid, you can also combine the shared line of the hood by laying it on the fold, which avoids a seam in front.

This cut is suitable for a dress made of footer or knitwear, where the hood is sewn without lining and the front cut is processed into an open cut hem, that is, it is overcast and folded over once.

The share barrel of the shelf is located along the part and is marked on the pattern, and the share burlap does not matter much.

The cutting itself is not difficult. The fabric is folded in half, the edges are aligned. The footer is more convenient to mark and cut on the front side, other types of knitwear - on the wrong side.

It is very important to put all notches and marks on the details of the cut in order to combine them when sewing.

Of course, the parts fit in the most economical way.

How to sew this hoodie dress with your own hands

Sewing this dress at home will also not seem too difficult for you if you have an overlocker and a household machine with an adjustable zigzag.

We start with processing the pocket - we grind the entrance to the pocket with burlap. Iron carefully. Then - a relief that turns into burlap, again an iron and pocket fasteners.

Next, we grind and iron the middle seam of the back, shoulder, side, collect the sleeve and hood.

Pay attention to the hood darts. You can not grind them, but lay them in soft folds when sewing into the neck. If necessary, warehouses can be increased or decreased.

At the end, we process the bottom of the product, the sleeves and the front section of the hood, as mentioned above, into a hem with an open cut.
