Shirt fabric is suitable, as well as chintz, poplin, satin, crepe satin, silk of any density. An interesting solution would be to use gauze of any texture or thin linen.

How to cut this women's blouse shirt asymmetry

Seam allowances

There are not many differences from the seam allowances of a regular blouse.

We also add a 1 cm allowance to most sections.

We DO NOT add sleeves to the cuts of the sprout (neck of the back) and the neck, armholes and also the sleeves.

On the bottom of the blouse and on the slot along the seam for attaching a wedge 3 - 3,5 cm (pictures 2 и 3).

Cutting order

We cut, laying out the fabric in one layer - in a turn, as the patterns are made.

When cutting, pay attention to the fact that the fractional thread of the front, back, collar and sleeve runs along the center lines.

DIY pattern cuff and slats

Cuffs can be cut both along and across the lobar. Plank - fractional along the part.

Calculating the dimensions of a rectangular cuff is very simple. The main thing is to decide what will be the width of the cuff in finished form. In most cases, it ranges from 3 to 4 cm.

Cuff width = 2 finished widths + 2 cm for seams

Cuff length = Wrist circumference + 3 (4) cm for closure + 2 cm for seams

The dimensions of the finished placket depend more on your desire and on the size of the buttons or snaps than on the technology. Short set-in straps can be without a fastener at all.

Therefore, the width of the strap in finished form can vary from 2 to 3,5 cm. Roughly speaking, the width of the strap should be no less than three button diameters.

The length of the finished plank can vary between 12 - 30 cm.

Having decided on the width and length of the finished plank, we proceed to calculate the size of the part.

Plank width = 2 finished widths + 2 cm for seams

Plank length = Finished length + 4 (5) cm

If pockets are planned, then 4 pieces of burlap will be needed. It is not necessary to observe the share thread, as well as add allowances for the seams.

Notches for stitching burlap should be done at the time of cutting, folding all the side seams together and attaching a burlap pattern to them. We carry out the upper notch at the waist or 3-5 cm below, depending on the desired length of the blouse. Bottom - along the lower edge of the cut of the entrance to the pocket.

How to sew a do-it-yourself asymmetry shirt blouse step by step

The sequence of sewing a blouse-shirt:

1. Process the set-in bar, iron and overcast open sections.
2. Stitch a wedge to the shelf until it expands onto the slot, make a notch at the level of the beginning of the slots, overcast and iron the seam.
3. Sew, overcast and iron the shoulder seams.
4. Sew in the sleeve without knitting , overcast and iron the stitching seam.
5. Stitch the burlap pockets to the side cuts, make notches, overcast and iron the seams, lay reinforcement stitches along them.
6. Sew, overcast and iron the side seams, laying a line along the edge of the burlap of the pockets.
7. Bend, sweep and iron the bottom of the blouse and slot, lay a line. Bottom processing and closed cut splines are recommended.
8. Stitch the collar.
9. Stitch the cuffs and process the slot
