I'll start explaining how to cut out facings for processing the neck (picture 2). This can be done according to the same patterns or according to the details of the shelves and back.

It is important to remember that we first cut out the facings from adhesive dublerin without seam allowances, and then stick them on the remnants of the fabric and cut them out for the second time with the necessary allowances.

Allowances will be added only in places where fragments of facings will be connected.

The facing of the back can be regular or in the form of a "drop".

Cutting dresses is very simple

The fabric is folded in half face to face, the edges are aligned and parallel to the edge of the cutting table.

First, a skirt is outlined on the cut (picture 3), and then the rest of the parts are laid out, taking into account the allowances for the seams and the shared direction.

The seam allowances are as follows:

1. Shoulder, side, relief, middle seam of the back, "vertical" seam of the sleeve - 1 - 1,5 cm each.
2. Sprout (neck of the back), neck of the shelf, cuts of the armhole, sleeve hem and skirt - without allowances for seams.
3. We add 3-3,5 cm along the bottom of the bodice for the convenience of trying on. On the bottom of the sleeve - at will, it depends on the desired length of the sleeve and the method of processing the bottom.
4. If the bottom is processed with a rolled seam, then the allowance is not needed, if along the bottom of the drawstring, add 1,5 - 3 cm, and for a regular hem with an open cut (overcast and fold once), 1 cm is enough.

The direction of the lobar thread in detail is also extremely important:

• In the shelf, the share should coincide with the semi-skid (the middle line of the shelf), and in the back - with the middle line, in other words, in the back, the share should be strictly perpendicular to the cut of the waist.
• In the details of the barrel and sleeves, the share does not play a significant role, but the share along or "oblique cut" is preferred.

Now let's deal with the skirt.

On the 3 drawing shows the cutting of a "single" skirt, that is, a skirt that uses one length of fabric.

The cost of a dress with such modest skirt will be 2 - 2,2 meters, but on a dress with a fluffy skirt (picture 4) - 3 - 3,2 meters.

For a fluffy skirt, you will actually need two of its lengths, so such a skirt can be conventionally called a "double".

The back half of the “double” skirt (ZP) is a rectangle, and the front half (PP) is cut out according to the pattern. Of course, the length of both halves of the skirt should be the same along the side seam.

The sequence of sewing and dressing for beginners

Sewing such a dress is no different from sewing any other cut-off dress with a Tatyanka skirt.

That is, first the bodice is assembled and the skirt is assembled. The length of the bodice is specified at the fitting, for which the figure is tied with a linen elastic band.

For fitting, it is also desirable to make and sweep the sleeves in order to clarify their fit.

After trying on, the bodice and skirt are connected. The zipper is attached to the middle seam of the back if the skirt is "single" or to the side seam if the skirt is "double".
