The coat of this style looks very simple, but the first difficulty that the couturier will face is the choice of fabrics. Combining such different materials requires understanding how they will look together in one product.

So, let's start the "debriefing" with the "missing details" - selection and lining (picture 2). To cut out the pick and the lining of the shelf, it is enough to cut the pattern in a straight line, stepping back from the half-skid towards the side seam 4–5 cm.

Allowances for seams of 1 - 1,2 cm, except for the neck - we do not add allowances along the neck. Allowance on the side of the shelf 0,7 - 1 cm (picture 3).

Cutting is not difficult. It is worth noting that the share thread in the selection in this case is parallel to the edge of the bead.

About the variation of the collar, which is cut out without a pattern, we can say the following - this is a rectangle.

collar length = neck length + seam allowances;

collar width = double width when finished + seam allowances.

Allowances for seams in the collar - 1 - 1,2 cm.

Please note that the collar can reach half-skid, so that its ends are on the product end-to-end or reach the edge of the bead.

The collar pattern is given for the butt option. A rectangle collar can be of any length, but in any case, it is recommended to cut the collar only after the raglan sleeve has been sewn in, in order to know exactly the length of the neck of the product.

How to sew a women's coat according to this pattern - a sequence of work

1. The general sequence of cutting and sewing a raglan down jacket for individual tailoring at home is as follows:
2. First, we perform the cutting of the shelves, back, selection and sleeves.
3. On the shelf with a thread we make a “laying” of the half-skid line - we will need a half-skid until the end of sewing the product.
4. We iron the shelf and the back and put it on the insulation, fasten them to it with pins or oblique stitches 7–10 cm long, stepping back from the cuts 3–5 cm. Then, we apply stitch markings and quilt the shelves and backs.
5. We collect the "top".
6. After that, cut out the lining (picture 4). If necessary, we outline the lining on the insulation, as we outlined the details of the “top”. We collect the lining with a selection.
7. We process the sleeves and we knit them.
8. We make epaulette shoulder pads from padding polyester or batting.
9. Free epaulette shoulder pad pattern can be enlarged to the desired size.
10. Putting the “top” on the lining and placing the “epaulette”, the product can be tried on.
11. When trying on, it is advisable to outline pockets, adjust the length of the product and sleeves.
12. After trying on, we process the pockets, cut out and make a collar, and then we tuck it in and sew it into the neck. We attach a loop to the collar so that the coat can be hung on a hanger.
13. And in the end, we connect the "lining" and "top". We install or sew buttons, depending on their design.
