The pattern was based on the classic design of a women's jacket with a chest tuck, which allows you to use this pattern for full ones.

The right angle of the bead allows you to make a large fragment of the bead - from the waist to the bottom - one-piece. This design simplifies the work and improves its quality.

What to sew a coat-jacket from, what fabric consumption

Coat fabric consumption will be from 200 to 250 cm. With a fabric width of 140 - 150 cm.

But when choosing a fabric, you should pay attention to what kind of fabric your sewing machine can handle. If you decide to sew a jacket coat on a household sewing machine, choose lightweight drape, cashmere, not too heavy tweed and, of course, loden. Avoid heavy felts and rattans that only industrial sewing machines can handle.

Lining fabric consumption is about 170-200 cm, with a width of 140-150 cm. Consumption 170 is indicated with the expectation that if there is a shortage of pockets for burlap, you use the remnants of another lining fabric or a special pocket.

Doublerin will need 95 - 140 cm. This is with an average width of 90 cm. Of course, we choose from the so-called "main" doublerins.

Lobar, notches, seam allowances, dublerin

As for the equity threads in the details of the cut, their direction can be called standard. The lobar back is parallel to the midline and perpendicular to the horizontal of the waist, the lobar shelves are along the half-skid and the edge of the side.

Share for a classic jacket sleeve, as everyone knows, runs parallel to the extreme points of the front seam. For the lower half, this rule is not so strict - you can deviate a couple of degrees.

The share thread for the upper collar is parallel to the midline, and for the lower one it is parallel to the flares. For women's jackets and coats in a jacket style in the lower collar, the lob can also repeat the lob of the upper collar.

Seam allowances are also standard for a jacket (picture 2).

The middle seam of the back, side and shoulder seams - 1 cm, along the bottom - 2,5 - 3 cm, necklines, armholes and collar - do NOT add allowances (this is not a mistake - allowances are not added to armholes, collars, neck and sprout!).

The allowance for the slot along the middle seam of the back is 6 - 7 cm and its height can reach the level of the hips, the allowance for the sleeve slot is 3 cm, height 10, maximum 12 cm for open slots.

Allowances for turning the hem: from the side of the hem 0,7 cm, from the side 1 - 1,2 cm, depending on the thickness of the fabric and the desired width of the piping.

The allowance for the lower collar, which, as is known to all tailors working in individual tailoring, is cut out for the second fitting, will be 0,7 cm. For the upper collar for a women's coat - 1 - 1,2 cm.

Do not forget to put notches on the neck and collar, as well as on the waist.

As for the dublerin, it is cut out exactly according to the patterns of the front and back without seam allowances. Darts are also cut out, as shown in 2 drawing.

The pick-up, if it is one-piece, is duplicated separately from the shelf with an indent of 0,5 cm. With an indent of 0,5 cm, the allowance along the bottom of the shelf is also duplicated. In addition, the allowance is duplicated along the bottom of the back and the allowance for the slot along the middle seam, as well as the allowance along the bottom of the sleeve.

The back is duplicated only in the upper part - approximately to the lower level of the shoulder blades.

There is another option for cutting the selection (picture 3) that can be used to handle double pick. In this case, the selection pattern is cut 3-5 cm above the waist. Two selections are processed in the upper part and both of them are sewn to one lower part.

Of course, this processing option is only suitable for lightweight coat fabrics and for a woolen suit.

Lining (picture 6). As mentioned above, the back and sleeve are cut out according to the same patterns as the details of the "top". The allowances are the same, with the exception of the bottom allowance - we add it to the hem with a closed cut up to 8 cm. The allowances for the slots are the same. Excess can be cut off when opening the slot.

The exception is tuck sleeve slots - they do not require additional allowances.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the tuck slots on the lining along the middle seam of the back. We focus on the allowance of the lower open slots, observing the shared direction of the back lining.

Also pay attention to the cutting of the sleeve - the patterns of the two-seam classic jacket sleeve can be combined and laid out across the cut.

How to cut and sew a jacket coat at home according to ready-made patterns

When sewing a jacket-type coat, pay attention to the great importance of wet-heat treatment (hereinafter referred to as WHT) and subsequent drying of parts of the product and the coat itself on a mannequin.

Cutting a jacket coat according to a finished pattern is not difficult. Perhaps this is the simplest operation. The layouts are shown in the figures 4 и 5.

However, it should be recalled that in case of individual sewing, the cutting sequence is determined by the fitting and correction of the product on fitting, therefore, first

1. A shelf with a one-piece collar (or a one-piece collar) and a back are cut out, but the places for cutting sleeves and collars should be marked.
2. Next, cut out the details of the dubbing and WTO.
3. Dart processing shelves, according to the rules for outerwear, and the middle seam of the back. WTO.
4. Preparation of the first fitting. Sweep and lightly iron shoulder and side seams, sweep up the edge. Make shoulder pads. Prepare a pattern of a collar made of paper or thick fabric in order to correct its shape if necessary.
5. First fitting. Clarification of the balance, volume of the product, marking of pockets, clarification of the shape of the side and collar. Armhole correction - high precision is not required yet. But, if the hinges are slotted, they should be marked.
6. Fitting of sides, necks, making other adjustments.
7. Processing pockets.
8. Processing of boards. If the clasp is tucked or the buttonholes are overturned, then they should also be processed.
9. Cutting, WTO and folding of sleeves.
10. Open the lower collar, WTO.
11. WTO shelves and backs.
12. Side seam processing. Bringing up the shoulder seams.
13. Second fitting. Re-clarification of the balance. Correction of the armhole should be as accurate as possible. Marking the points of the sleeve recess, specifying the sleeve length. You can immediately make a correction and outline three points for the sleeve to be recessed, taking into account the fit.
14. Lined sleeves.
