How to cut a summer trapezoid blouse with your own hands

Cutting blouses "trapeze" is not difficult even for beginners.

But processing, especially turning, can cause some difficulties.

Features of processing a sleeveless summer blouse for beginners

Therefore, if you are just starting to sew, it will be easier to trim the neckline and armholes. Advanced tailors may opt for facings, but turning this way will be very inconvenient due to armhole frills and narrow shoulder seams.

It is easier to edging without fixtures, as the thickening of the frills will interfere.

If you decide on facings, then they are cut out from adhesive interlining according to the patterns of the shelves and backs without seam allowances (picture 2). Please note that the shelf is outlined to the half-skid line (this is the middle line of the shelf), and when gluing, the facing fragments can be combined. The width of the facings is 3,5 - 5 cm.

Seam allowances should be added after gluing the adhesive parts to the fabric at the joints of the facing fragments. That is, along the shoulder, side and middle seams. Allowances in this case are 1 cm.

Cutting small sizes is shown in 3 drawing. The fabric is folded in half face inward and its edges are aligned.

The front and back are laid with a “jack”, taking into account allowances for seams - 1 cm along the shoulder, side seams and the middle seam of the back, but the last allowance can be cut off later. Please note that the lobar direction of the back is determined along the midline or along the waist and bottom line: the lobar coincides with the midline and is strictly perpendicular to the bottom and waist.

The bottom allowance depends on the processing method. If you process the bottom into a hem with a closed cut (double hem), then 1,5 - 2 cm is enough. If the bottom is trimmed or processed with a seam with a rudder, then the allowance is not needed at all.

Pay attention to the fact that the allowances for the cuts of the armholes, the neck and the sprout (the neck of the back) are not added, as well as on the facings.

The facings are laid out arbitrarily, but do not cut out immediately. After you cut out the front, back and frill, the facings are glued with a hot iron on the remnants of the fabric and only after that they should be cut out with allowances for the seams.

How to cut ruffles in a summer sleeveless blouse

This is a strip of fabric, the width of which in cutting is 10 cm, and in finished form 4 cm. The width is calculated using the formula:

Ruffle Width Finished = 2 Ruffle Width Finished + 2cm Finished

If you are edging the neckline and armholes, then the fabric is also folded face inward, but along the width of the layout (picture 4). Oblique inlay - from the remaining piece.

In a summer blouse for full sleeveless, large sizes are cut out almost the same (picture 5) - the back is shifted so that it is enough in the width of the fabric.

How to sew a summer sleeveless blouse with your own hands step by step for beginners

1. Sweep the opposite fold at the top with large cross stitches, grind the darts and iron them carefully.
2. Then you must make a frill by ironing a strip of fabric in half lengthwise ... further actions depend on how you decide to process the armholes and the neck.
3. Let's say it's edging.
4. You should sew, overcast and iron one shoulder seam, turn around the neck.
5. Then work on the second shoulder seam. Sweep frills with arbitrary soft folds into the armholes and edging them.
6. Next - side seams and bottom.
7. If you are working with facings, then you will need cardboard templates made of thin cardboard for ironing.
8. Templates can be cut out according to the same patterns of the shelves and backs (picture 6) in the same way as facing, but cutting off an additional 0,5 cm from the side of the armhole. They are needed to iron the edge of the facings.
9. For ironing, you will need notches 0,4 cm long. Then, on ready-made facings with stitched and flattened shoulder and side seams, they should be laid on an ironing pad, on top - a template with an indent from the edge of 0,5 cm and narrow the cut section of the armhole of the shelf, then the cut of the armhole backs.
10. When ironing is done, you can turn the neck.
11. Of course, the shoulder-side-middle seams of the blouse should already be stitched, overcast and ironed, the frills should be tucked into the armholes, and the seam should be ironed inside out.
12. When the neck is turned, the cuts ironed with templates are simply superimposed and basted with large oblique stitches, after which they can be hemmed with blind stitches or a decorative stitch.
