A feathered skirt is another great model suitable for a children's New Year's costume.
As you can see in the examples, this skirt is also suitable for dance costumes (photo 1),
for costumes of Moths, Elves and Forest Fairies (photo 2), for traditional Snowflakes, and even for a Bee costume (photo 3).
To make such a skirt, a pattern is not required.

Skirt material list
Organza or rigid mesh - 1,5 - 2 meters, depending on the desired splendor of the skirt.
Wide 2,5 - 3 cm elastic band, the length of which is equal to From (waist circumference) of the child.
Elastic thread, matching color.
Ogranza or mesh is cut into ribbons, 15 - 20 cm wide.
It is desirable to give the ends of the tapes any "sharp" outlines (Fig. 1).
In this case, the length of each tape should be equal to two Du (skirt lengths).
How to make such a skirt for a costume for the New Year
A wide elastic band, which will play the role of a belt, is ground and put on, for the convenience of performing further operations on the legs of an inverted chair.
The finished ribbons are superimposed on the elastic band (Fig. 2) and tied with rubber thread each separately.
You can see the results in photos 1 and 2.
Photo 3 shows a similar skirt, but in this case, each ribbon was tied with a wide elastic band without the help of a thread.
The node diagram is in fig. 3 - each tape is folded in half, the loop is placed under the elastic, and both ends are wound into the loop and tightened tightly.
For the manufacture of similar skirts for adults and tutus, the above methods are not suitable.
