Sewing options for a fur coat for a Snow Maiden costume
Before proceeding to the description of the cutting, let's consider the options for making a fur coat, the sketch of which was the New Year's card.

Since it is sewn from materials of the dress assortment, it is possible to insulate not only the “lining”, but also the “top” of the product.
Preference in this case should be given to thin batting. If you insulate the product to the bottom, the skirt will puff up, but this is not bad for a carnival costume.
The “lining”, if it is also insulated, it is advisable to make it fly away and narrow it. You can insulate it, both to the level of the hips, and completely, depending on where this suit will be used.

Now let's take a look at what's included pattern set (picture 1) and see how this can be expanded for "maxi" (picture 2), that is, if the Du of your fur coat is 100 cm.
I remind you, paying couturiers, that it is better to make the selection one-piece in order to save time and fabric.
It is advisable to immediately duplicate the selection in order to prevent it from stretching. The share direction for the lower collar can be conditionally called “all cuts along the oblique”.
Dubbing cut according to the pattern without seam allowances is also desirable. For the rest of the details of the "top" dubbing is not needed.
The seam allowances are mostly 1 cm. The exception will be, as usual, the cuts of the eyelet, sprout, neck and armholes - they are cut out beyond the stroke line of the patterns. And along the bottom - add 3 - 3,5 cm.
Batting, if provided, is cut out according to the details of the cut without an allowance on the bottom and without a one-piece selection.
All other allowances are the same. They can be cut off after the "top" is assembled and the seams are ironed.
Before opening the lining, if it is loose, the patterns should be narrowed from the level of the hips by bending the extensions (picture 3).
The board also bends along the half-skid line, that is, the “middle part of the shelf” part loses 4 cm in width.
As you can see, the consumption of the narrowed “lining” was reduced to 2 product lengths (picture 4).
The seam allowances are the same as for the "top", but the bottom allowance can be increased up to 5 cm.
If you insulate the lining, then both synthetic winterizer and batting are suitable as a heater.
In any case, we cut out exactly according to the details of the cut (NOT according to patterns!), But we cut off the allowance along the bottom.
Undercut fur (picture 5) can be carried out both on the patterns and on the assembled product.
It is important to observe the direction of the fur: the edge of the sleeve, bottom and strap - from top to bottom; a collar made of short fur and fur with a pile of medium length - from the bottom up, made of fur with a long pile - from top to bottom.
The direction is also indicated by dark arrows on 5 drawing.
The width of the plank in finished form, in order for the product to look symmetrical, should be 8 cm.
Depending on the processing method, you must decide whether you need seam allowances.
Pay attention to the upper cut of the strap: we will cut it to fit the shape of the neck before stitching the collar.
Allowances of 1 will definitely be needed for the fur cuff and for connecting the fur parts.
The top collar, in addition to seam allowances of 1 cm, must have a landing allowance of 1 cm.
