How to cut a boho dress with your own hands according to a pattern with a relief

The triangular cutout on the neck of the shelf in most cases will allow you to abandon the clasp, but you need to consider that this attractive detail is the most wear-resistant place in the dress.

Therefore, the neck will require good processing with turning (picture 2).

The width of the facings is 5 - 7 cm. The lines of the receding cut of the facings are arbitrary, but it is better to avoid straight lines.

On thin fabrics, the role of facing can be played by the middle upper parts of the back and shelves (yokes), in other words, the details shown in 2 drawing can be double and only dubbing for them (for the "purl" parts) is cut out as shown in the figure.

You also need to pay attention to the fact that the triangular neckline is not cut out immediately, but only outlined. It is worth cutting it out after turning the neck.

Dubbing is cut out without seam allowances. We will add seam allowances after gluing duplicate parts to the fabric at the second stage of cutting.

The layout of the patterns on the fabric is shown in the figures. 3 и 4. As you can see, in any case, the middle lower parts of the front and back are laid on the fold of the fabric. The yoke of the shelf is also on the fold. The remaining details are arbitrary, taking into account the shared direction.

How to determine the share direction if it is not specified? The share for the details of the shelves and back should be perpendicular to the horizontals of the waist and hips. The lobar sleeve is parallel to the midline.

Seam allowances are regular, that is, 1 - 1,2 cm for seams of reliefs, middle, yoke cut, shoulder and side seams.

On the bottom - 2,5 - 4 cm - for a hem with an open cut (fold and overcast once) and for a hem with a closed cut (double hem).

No allowances are added along the neck, sleeves and armholes. For burlap - optional.

How to sew a boho-style dress with a pattern for beginners step by step

1. So, first we cut out the main details, and on the remnants we paste the dubbing details, add allowances for the middle and shoulder seams and also cut them out.
2. After cutting on the lower middle parts and on the barrels of the shelves and backs, we apply notches for stitching burlap. To do this, all the details are added together, the horizontal lines of the waist and hips, as well as the cuts of the relief, are combined.
3. The first notch - down from the waist 5 - 10 cm. The second - along the burlap without taking into account the seam, that is, along the length of the entrance to the pocket.
4. We begin the assembly of the product with stitching the burlap and processing the relief: stitched-overcast the burlap along the cut of the entrance to the pocket (along the notches), ironed it, stitched it, swept over the relief, ironed it.
5. After assembling the product, we perform a fitting. When assembling the product, pay attention to the fact that we first grind the shoulder seams, process the neck and sew in the sleeve without tucking in, without striving to align the highest point of the collar with the shoulder seam.
6. And only then we sweep the side seam. Thus, for fitting, we have a finished product, in which we specify the width and length. We align the length, measuring from the floor, since the reliefs will certainly stretch during processing.
7. By the side seam we determine the degree of freedom or fit of the product. If the size is chosen correctly, then a large correction is not needed.
