How to sew skirts in simple styles for a school uniform
To clarify the fabric consumption, perform a preliminary layout of the patterns, taking into account the allowances for the seams (Fig. 3 or 4).
Allowances are as follows.
The waist cut of the yoke and the top of the panels of the RF and PP skirts with folds are cut out without allowances, that is, beyond the line of the outline of the pattern.
The allowance in this case can distort the dimensions of the parts.
Side seams and yoke attachment seam - 1 cm each.
Bottom and middle seam - 3 cm - this is taking into account the fit and headroom.
For "petals" allowances can not be added.

Let us consider in more detail the technology of tailoring a skirt with warehouses.
The processing of the lower part of the skirt begins with the transfer of the warehouse markup.
The marked warehouses are folded (each) along the line of symmetry and swept with 1 cm stitches.
Swept out warehouses are ironed to the side seams. Then the side cuts are swept, grinded, overcast and ironed.
The finished lower part of the skirt is swept and ground with ready-made coquettes.
The stitching seam is overcast and ironed up.
At the end, the middle seam is swept away, in which the lightning can be located and the fitting is performed.
After trying on, all that remains is to stitch the middle seam, overcast open sections and bottom, sew on a zipper and process the bottom into a hem with an open cut.
Of course, the final ironing of the product should also not be skipped.
The technology for sewing a “petals” skirt is very simple: the finished petals are basted and stitched to the finished coquettes.
The stitching seam is overcast (all sections together) and ironed towards the yoke.
The manufacture of petals is even simpler: you only need to sweep out two intended warehouses and process the flying cut.
The ways of processing the take-off cut can be different: piping, processing with a seam with a rudder or edging.
