How to cut and sew a dress with detachable sleeves according to a pattern for beginners step by step

3. Facing can be cut out according to the same patterns as the back and shelf (picture 2) or according to the product after trying on and correcting the neckline at your discretion.
4. In any case, the facings must exactly repeat the outlines of the neck. To simplify the turning process, we first cut out the dublerin without allowances for the seams, and then glue it onto the fabric and cut out their connections with each other with allowances for cuts, but this should be done after trying on. First, open up.
5. When cutting, it is important to observe not only the share direction, but also to make the correct allowances for the seams.
6. The lobar back should be parallel to the midline (or perpendicular to the horizontals of the waist and hips), the lobar shelves should be parallel to the half-skid (middle line of the shelf) and nothing can be changed here if it is not an “oblique” cut.
7. The share of the details of the sleeve can be either "oblique" or coincide with the share of the shelf and back, that is, pass along the midline.
8. Seam allowances - 1 - 1,2 cm for the shoulder, side and middle seam of the back, along the neck, armhole and sleeve hem, allowances are not added, and for the hem of the bottom 2,5 - 3 cm.
9. The allowance for the seam connecting the parts of the sleeve is 1 cm.
10. If the layout of small and medium sizes is not difficult - the fabric is folded in half, the edges are aligned, the parts fit in the most economical way, taking into account the shared direction and seam allowances (picture 3).
11. Then cutting according to the pattern for full large sizes to save fabric is performed in two steps (picture 4).
12. First, we cut out the back and shelf, while folding the fabric in half along the width of the shelf with an allowance. The edges, of course, must be parallel to each other and to the edge of the cutting table.
13. Then, in a turn, we cut out the lower part of the sleeve along the oblique thread - first one part and the second along it, in order to guarantee two mirror parts.
14. Then, the upper part of the detachable sleeve.
