Let's start with the fact that the dimensions for this pattern are conditional. You can choose any size and any suggested length, regardless of your dimensional characteristics. It all depends on the intention.

The waistband and cuffs are rectangles.

Seam allowances - 0,7 - 1 cm.

Layout - "Jack". The waistband and cuffs are cut out of fabric lunges.

If you are sewing zuaves from stretch, then the length of the cuff should correspond to the circumference of the lower leg:

Og + 2 seams of 1 cm

The width of the cuff is arbitrary. In finished form, it can be from 1 to 10 cm. You can calculate the width of a rectangular cuff pattern using the formula

2 finished cuff widths + 2 seams of 1 cm

The length of the belt, if you are sewing zuaves from stretch, of course, corresponds to the circumference of the waist or the circumference of the hips (wear on the waist means the circumference of the waist, wear on the hips - the circumference of the hips).

How to sew trousers with your own hands according to the pattern step by step from different fabrics

The sequence of sewing zouaves from stretch.

1. Sew with a knitted seam and iron the side seams, crotch seams and seat seam.
2. Stitch the parts of the belt and try on the belt separately so that it fits snugly around the waist or on the hips (depending on your design).
3. The cuffs are ironed in half lengthwise and stitched to the bottom of the trousers, of course, the bottom must first be assembled, and after stitching, remove or cut the assembly thread so that it does not tighten. 4. The belt is stitched in the same way as the cuffs. The upper cut can be assembled, but it is better if the belt is simply stretched when sewing.

How to sew trousers from cotton or silk

The length of the cuffs and waistband should be equal to the cuts to which the cuffs and waistband will be sewn. But, if they are from a wide elastic band or dovyaz, then we cut them like from a stretch - according to the volume of the waist or hips and the volume of the lower leg or ankle.

Zouave sewing sequence in stable fabrics.

1. Sew, overcast and iron the side seams, crotch seams and seat seam.
