Warning: The jumpsuit is fashionable, but rather uncomfortable to wear. Before sewing a jumpsuit, think about the fact that when you go to the "ladies' room" you will have to take it off completely. Jumpsuits are not recommended for curvaceous ladies.

When cutting the product, it should be taken into account that the level of the seat of the trousers must be lowered (and / or the bodice is extended), since without a margin of 5 - 6 cm it will be impossible to sit in the product.

The absence of such a “reserve of freedom” for sitting is permissible only when cutting overalls made of knitwear with a high coefficient of extensibility. Or for stage costumes, in which they are only standing.

However, elastic fabrics will be preferred in all cases. So thin and rather dense knitwear was chosen for the sample. Random elongation coefficient of about 3%. When calculating the design of the patterns, a margin for seating was 5 cm.

The design features of this model are as follows.

The front half (shelf + PP trousers) is one-piece, but for the convenience of tailoring, you can cut the pattern along the waistline to a half-skid.

The back half (back + RFP) is detachable along the waist line, since the back has an assembly along the waist. The sleeve consists of two parts, on one of which there are three warehouses along the edge. Collar type "collar" - asymmetrical cut - one of its ends ends with three folds and a small tie. On the middle seam of the front half of the jumpsuit there is a long secret lock. The trousers are narrower at the bottom, and a wide elastic band can be hemmed in the waist area or puffs can be made with rubber thread. If you decide to do without an elastic band, think about a belt.

For lovers of simpler and more concise options, in addition to the main one, two more options for sleeves have been added to the set of patterns - from two parts without folds and the usual straight one. A symmetrical collar without a warehouse can be cut according to the pattern of the lower collar.

Difficulty level medium: assumes the presence of sewing experience.

Consumption - 210 cm with a fabric width of 150 cm.

Seam allowances will vary depending on how you choose to process the item (see the article "Machine seams").

If you chose a knit stitch, then the seam allowances should be added for the details of the collar and a small "tie" that will be sewn to the right end of the collar. You will also need a zipper allowance. And, if the “tie” cannot be placed on the fold, then you will have to add another 1 cm allowance. That is, in this processing option, we add to the seams only to the turning parts and for the zipper.

Pay attention to the difference in allowances for the upper and lower collars on departure. For the upper collar, the allowance will be 1 cm, and for the lower collar 0,7 cm. The allowance along the stitching curve (concave line) for both is 1 cm and for sewing parts of the lower collar too. Thus, if, when turning, you combine the edges of the parts and notches, the ends of the collar will lie well.

If you refuse a knitted seam, then the seam allowances will have to be added to the rest of the details (see fig.). On the armhole, neck and sleeve hem - do not add in any case. And for processing the bottom of the trousers and the bottom of the sleeve - 1,5 - 2 cm.

The layout, as seen in the figure, is not difficult. When cutting, do not forget, for your own convenience, to put notches that limit the warehouses, notches that indicate the middle of the upper collar, the middle of the sprout, the level of the knee and the top of the eye. And one more notch along the rim of the sleeve, indicating the point of alignment with the other half, must be done.

Sewing. First, we lay and sweep the warehouses on all the details: “shelf + PP trousers”, the back half of the sleeve and the upper collar. We grind and iron the tucks on the RFP, grind and iron the details of the lower collar, you can turn the tie.

Then we process the side seams of the shelf-back, side, step seams of the trousers and the seam of the seat in the way you have chosen. Don't forget the iron!

And after ironing ALL the processed seams, we assemble along the waist, starting from the second warehouse of the shelf, through the back and ending at the second warehouse of the shelf on the other side. The gathered cut should be equal to the waist cut of the trousers. Now we process the cut of the waist of the overalls.

If you decide to sew an elastic band or make puffs, place them under the waist seam. Width - 4 cm.

We sew "lightning".

We grind the collar, not forgetting about the "tie".

Sleeve. Warehouses are already set. We process the seam under the arm and the bottom of the sleeve. In conclusion, we put the back half on the front, combining the point indicated by the green cross and the notch along the rim. We fasten the details with a sweep.

Sweep and stitch the collar and sleeves.

After that, the product should be measured to determine the length of the trousers.
