How to cut different styles of dresses according to the pattern with your own hands

Sewing dresses should not be timed to coincide with any season, you should start when you have an idea.

And women's patterns will always give a reason to turn around fantasy! We read, we watch, we fantasize!

1. The easiest kimono bat dress for beginners

Let's start with the simplest option (Photo 1). To do this, it is enough to lengthen the pattern to the length of the product you need (Fig. 2).

Of course, both the shelf and the back should be lengthened by the same amount.

Seam allowances - 1 cm, except for the sprout and the neck, which we cut out for the stroke line of the patterns.

Above the tuck is a “house”, after trying on and processing the tuck, this allowance can be cut off.

To change the neckline, measure (on the figure) down from the jugular cavity its depth and cut, as shown in 2 drawing.

It is recommended for beginner tailors to make a cutout during the fitting, and in order to put on this dress, one should not completely grind the middle seam of the back (in this case, it may coincide with the middle line) or cut the shelf along the half-slip from above by 10 - 12 cm.

It is not worth combining the details of the sleeves into one piece.

2. How to cut and sew a new bow dress using this pattern

Dress in the style of "new bow" is no more complicated than the previous one (Photo 2).

For him, we do not need the entire dress pattern, only the bodice.

In other words, we cut them along the waist line, which is marked on the drawings and use the "top" (picture 5).

The layout is the same - "Jack". It is better to cut the neck on the fitting.

On the pattern, the depth of the neckline is marked, the tuck allowance is cut and the tuck is swept only to the desired point.

The middle part above the line that determines the depth of the cutout for fitting can simply be bent.
