How to choose size

The presented model is another option for leisure clothing. Blouses can be worn together or separately, over a swimsuit or over shorts.

The style is very simple in execution, so even novice tailors can sew such a blouse or blouses.

On a large pattern, you will see an “extension line” of the wrap for very full ladies and for those who want to sew only one blouse with a deeper wrap (Fig. 1).

constructive pattern linesWhen making patterns, pay attention to the fact that most of the sections of the shelf and back coincide. Only the sprout-neck and the bottom of the sleeve do not match, that is, we cut out the back with the sprout line, and the shelf with the neck.

The model can be extended as desired. To do this, you will have to cut the finished pattern along the waist line and lay the resulting fragments, taking into account the length of the product you need (Fig. 2).

Open blousesChiffon or thin silk is suitable for tailoring, while one of the blouses requires a printed fabric, and the second requires a plain one.

If you want to paint the fabric using the batik technique for the “top” blouse, do not rush to cut it.

Measure the contour of the shelf on the cut, stepping back from the edges necessary for hooping (pulling onto the frame), lay the snares and paint. If the painting is provided on the back, then the sequence is the same.

Cutting ordinary, without painting, blouses should be done in a turn, while the blouses should turn out to be mirrored to each other. Fold the fabric in half across.

Allowances are added only at the shoulder and side seams.

The consumption for one blouse is from one to two lengths of the product: 42 - 46 without expanding the product is one length; 48 - 62 without expansion in one length a little "does not pass", therefore, for cutting, the layout shown in fig. 3.

As you can see, there are many options, so before buying fabric, it does not hurt to make patterns (if you lengthen the blouse, then make them the right length) and do the layout.

When performing the layout, especially its economic version (Fig. 2), you must take into account the placement of the ties and slanting inlay for edging the sprout neck and the bottom of the sleeve.

As shown in fig. 2, the bias trim for edging is cut out of a small lunge formed above the “shoulder-sleeve” cuts and the lunge is unfolded for this.

Therefore (attention!) The fold of the fabric should be at the top of the product. In layouts where there are more lunges (Fig. 3), the location of the fold and cuts is not important.

And coupon fabrics with a large pattern, as in the photo, will require special attention from you.

If you have chosen a fabric with a large pattern, then you will have to buy it by laying it out right in the store.

Cut dresses according to the blouse patternTies for the "top" blouse are cut out in the form of a rectangular strip of fabric of any desired length. Width 7 - 10 cm, length - 35 - 50 cm.

The optimal width of the strips for edging for chiffon is 4,5 - 5 cm. For thin silk, you can take 4 - 4,5 cm.

Sewing.

  1. Stitch the seam "shoulder-sleeve", overcast both cuts of this seam together and iron towards the back.
  2. Turn over the sprout-neck (cm. Article "How to make a bias tape") and iron.
  3. Sew the shoulder, overcast both sections of this seam together and iron towards the back.
  4. Then hem the bottom of the sleeve (see article "What is an opikovka?") and work the side seam in the same way as the shoulder seams.
  5. The bottom, like the bottom of the sleeve, should also be cut from the waist down along the rounding, then along the straight bottom of the product and again along the rounding to the waist.
  6. Drawstrings should be sewn at the waist level. The ties of the bottom blouse can be made of a narrow ribbon or soft cord, and for the top blouse they should be wide. The blanks of these ties should be folded lengthwise and stitched, while the end is grinded obliquely. Unscrew the stitched blanks, sweep and iron. If you wish, lay a finishing line.
  7. After that, turn over the edge of the bead from the waist of the shelf through the shoulder section to the waist of the back, grabbing the stitching of the ties, and iron.
