4. How to cut a spiral blouse according to a finished pattern

Let's start by cutting the facings from a thin dublerin or interlining according to the patterns of the shelf and back.

We put the pattern on the doubler on the side where there is no glue, circle (picture 2).
Turning width 3,5 cm.
Cut out without seam allowances.

Later we will glue the facings on the fabric and then we will add allowances for the seams.

Now explanations about the sleeve.

If the bottom of the sleeve is processed not into a hem, but by a cuff with a slot, then an 8 cm cut will have to be made on the details of the sleeve, stepping back from the back cut 1/4 of the bottom width (picture 2).

Seam allowances on the shoulder and side cuts 1 cm, as well as on the “cut” cut.

On the neck, armholes, okat - do not add allowances.

Along the cuts of the sides and along the edge of the lower part - 0,5 cm.

On the bottom of the lower parts of the shelf and back, you can add any allowance to lengthen the part or not add it at all. And for processing the bottom, 1,5 - 2 cm is enough.

Cutting is performed on the fabric in a spread (picture 3).
Patterns are laid out with the inscriptions up on the front side of the fabric in the most economical way and in compliance with the shared direction of the thread.

The facings also take part in the layout of the patterns on the fabric, since it is desirable that they be solid, without additional seams.

Cuffs are rectangles.

Cut-out cuff width = 2 finished widths + 2 cm.

Cuff length in cutting = Wrist girth + 5 or 6 cm.

After cutting out the main details, lay out and glue the facings on the rest of the fabric. And after gluing, add allowances for seams along short sections. The rest of the cuts are without allowances.

Then, we perform notches along the midline of the back, half-skid, along the waist and at the lower point of the cut “cut”.

5. How to sew a spiral blouse at home

1. Overstitch the edges of the sides of the upper parts of the back and shelves. Overcast the open sections of the facings.
2. Process the tuck on the middle part of the shelf.
3. Overstitch the upper sides of the middle parts of the shelf and back. Overcast the open sections of the facings.
4. Duplicate, overcast and fold the edges of the lower sides of the middle parts. Process the “cut” into a hem.
5. Process the bottom and corner of the lower parts into a hem with a closed cut. The edge of the lower parts, which will be covered by the middle parts, is simply overcast.
6. Notice the fasteners and fasten them with lines, where there will be an imitation of the fastener.
7. If the sleeve is cuffed, process the slots.

9. Sew in the sleeve, evenly distributing the eyelet along the armhole with a backstitch or regular seam. If the seam is regular, overcast.
