4. How to cut with your own hands according to the finished pattern of a women's coat

РAskra cannot be called complex, but will require compliance with some general rules.

Seam allowances - 1 - 1,2 cm. Exceptions - we do not add along the neck and sprout, along the bottom - 3 cm.

It is better to make the pick-up one-piece, laying the middle part of the shelf and the pick-up with cuts of the edge of the side butt (picture 2). As you already know, this approach will not only save processing time, but also significantly improve its quality.

It is not recommended to cut the back without a middle seam. And it is very important that the middle seam of the back does not coincide with the shared thread.

The fractional direction of the side parts of the shelf and back is not critical and can be laid on the fabric arbitrarily.

Dubbing is always cut out without seam allowances according to the same patterns as the “top” of the product.

The duplication area for a lined product depends on the density and elasticity of the fabric. The denser the fabric and the less it stretches, the smaller the duplication area. Consider the average option (picture 2).

Only the middle part of the shelf is completely duplicated. Please note that the doubler is glued with a “gap” of 0,5 cm along the edge (fold) line of the side and along the bottom.

If the coat is cut from double-sided fabric without lining, then only the hem, bottom and narrow hem under the pocket should be duplicated.

Cutting the lining is not difficult (picture 3) - Jack layout. For larger sizes, the fabric will have to be folded across, as shown in fig. 3 or make an additional stitch for the sleeve.

On the sprout and the cut of the connection with the selection, we add a double allowance, if no allowances were added on the departure cuts of the selection. At the bottom of the allowance, it is better to increase to 7 - 8 cm, since for a women's coat with a detachable lining, a wide double hem (with a closed cut) is preferable.
