How to cut your own straight raglan dress with a cutout on the back

We start by cutting out the facing patterns for processing the neck and back cutout (picture 2).

You already know that facings should be cut out of dublerin without seam allowances.

But this time, perhaps, there will be an exception for a fragment of the middle seam of the “sprout-cutout” facing, which is cut out according to the “Sleeve of ZP” pattern.

Ifthe tee will be made on hooks and its right and left sides will be end-to-end in finished form, then the allowance is not needed, if there is an overlap of the sides, as in a blouse, then the allowance will be 1-1,5 cm.

The width of the facings for the neck and neckline should be about 4 cm.

Cutting is quite simple: all patterns are laid out on a fabric folded in half face to face, taking into account allowances and shared direction (figures 3 и 4).

What else should be considered before cutting according to the finished pattern with your own hands

1. First, the edges should be parallel to the center line of the back. Attention: the middle line, not the middle seam.
2. Secondly, all allowances are 1 - 1,5 cm, except for the neckline, sprout and clasp along the "arch" of the sleeve sleeve.
   Separately, it should be said about the allowances for turning: you first stick them on the remnants of the fabric, and then you will cut them out with the necessary allowances - 1 cm each, except for the sprout, neck and detachable sections (which will be overcast).
3. Thirdly, about how to use the templates in the set of dress patterns (picture 1).
   Как seen in the photo, the bottom of the dress and the bottom of the sleeve along the seam of the raglan are rounded.
   If you will be adjusting the length, then the easiest way to make rounds when cutting is to circle the finished template.
4. And the last - notches. Do not forget to make notches on the details of the cut in the places where they are indicated on the patterns.
