4. How to cut a summer jumpsuit with a hood and shorts according to a simple ready-made pattern

Before cutting, as usual, you should measure the length of the sleeve (from the side point of the neck), the length of the shelf and the length of the shorts.

We compare the length of the sleeves and shorts with the desired ones, adding 8-10 cm to the cuffs.

We compare the length of the shelf with the measure Dpt (the length of the shelf to the waist from the side point of the neck through the bulge of the chest). The length of the shelf pattern should be more than Dpt by the amount of overlap - by 5 - 7 cm.

Let's start by adjusting the knitted seam on the overlocker.

How to set up an overlocker for sewing stretch fabrics

Once the settings are made, sewing becomes very easy.

1. Process the pocket on the PP shorts. It is processed like sports pants pocket
2. The patch pocket can be located both on the RFP of the shorts and on the bodice. See how to make a patch pocket
3. Then, stitch the bodice and PP shorts on the overlock, iron the seam.
4. Sew on the overlock side, shoulder and crotch seams, iron them.
5. Stitch the middle seam of the backrest - seat - bow, slightly stretching in the buttocks area, iron the seam.
6. Stitch the fabric for the drawstring or sew a wide elastic band in a wide zigzag.
7. Overcast the sides and sew on the zipper.
