You need to be more careful with the dimensions than we have in Poland. The front elements of the pattern need to be carefully cut, as they suit ONLY in one direction. 2.1. Complete set of dress patterns and / or sweatshirts - hoodie sweatshirts with pockets

2. Shelf patterns: left shelf with a warehouse; left shelf without warehouses; right shelf (small fragment).
3. Sleeve pattern.
4. Hood patterns: left half and right half.
5. Pocket patterns: burlap for sewing a pocket in the side seam; kangaroo pocket.

2.2. Description of the design of the pattern of oversized dresses with a hood and pockets

Patterns are made on the base with a lowered shoulder. The style of the base was not chosen by chance, it is this “shape” that is the most resistant to wear and simple to sew.

The proposed styles have an asymmetric shelf, which consists of two parts - the right shelf and the left shelf, so named for simplicity and convenience.

There are two right shelves - one with a soft fold in the undercut, the other - without complicating elements.

Sleeve without landing, tapered to the bottom.

For a variation with a pleat in the undercut, pockets in the side seam are suitable - burlap is included.

For a shelf without complicating elements, both a kangaroo and a side pocket in the seam are suitable. The same variation is suitable for sewing a sweatshirt - a sweatshirt with a hood.

The halves of the hood are also not the same - the hood has a slight asymmetry.

Most suitable is a footer with any “bouffant” or with “loops” on the inside, as well as a dense weave.

The footer consumption with a width of 180 cm will be from 150 to 200 cm.

4. How to cut dresses, a sweatshirt - a sweatshirt with a hood according to a pattern

The main thing is to think about what style you will cut - choose the style of the shelf, check the length, check the width of the sleeve so that it matches the intended one.

Checks are best done by applying patterns to ready-made clothes of the same type, but if you have enough experience, you can compare the sizes of the patterns with your own measurements.

It is important to remember that the cut of these models is asymmetrical, so they should be cut in a turn (fabric in one layer), and paired parts (back, sleeve, burlap) cut out twice.

Seam allowances are not required. Exceptions are undercut and kangaroo pocket.

4.1. Consider cutting a loose dress with an undercut and a fold on the shelf

(picture 2).

Patterns are laid out on the wrong side of the fabric. Asymmetrical details are all labeled up.

The undercut is cut to the upper left point of the warehouse, as shown in 2 drawing. We leave the fabric from the undercut, do not cut it out. It is more convenient to cut off the excess after processing the undercut.

Please note that you need 4 pieces of burlap for the side pocket and the share for them is parallel to the entrance to the pocket.

After cutting, do not forget to make notches along the waist, along the half-slip and the middle line of the back - mark them on the cuts with a notch 0,3 - 0,5 cm long.

To mark the side pocket, you will need to fold all 4 side cuts together and step back down from the waist 4 or 5 cm.

The hood can be double or single. Single, as per 2 drawing processed with a transverse strip of fabric along the “face” cut. The width of the strip of fabric is 4 - 6 cm.

4.2. Cutting a dress or sweatshirt with a kangaroo pocket looks even easier

(picture 3).

To process the pocket, allowances up to 3 cm will be required.

We cut out the lining hood according to the same patterns, but we lay out the details with the inscriptions down so that they turn out to be mirrored.

After cutting, we perform notches on sections along the half-slide and the middle line of the back.

5. How to sew a dress or sweatshirt - loose fit sweatshirt step by step

Almost all stitching is performed on an overlock with a knitted seam. It's fast, convenient, and produces strong seams.

But some lines are more convenient to make a narrow zigzag.

Now the sewing sequence.

1. Mark on the shelf and on the kangaroo pocket a semi-skid (middle line) with a contrasting thread. Marking is done on the front side. This is necessary for the convenience and accuracy of sewing. Mark on the front side of the line of soft folds and undercut. Mark the location of the kangaroo pocket.
2. Process the warehouse - sweep, combining the marked lines, and then iron and stitch the undercut, like a tuck, using a narrow zigzag. Iron again. Compare the pattern of the right shelf with the detail of the shelf with undercut after processing. With a swept fold, they should be congruent.

4. Stitch burlap pockets to the side seam, stepping back 4 - 5 cm from the waist, or apply and topstitch "kangaroo". Iron.
5. Assemble the hood.
6. We grind the shoulder seams first on a typewriter in a narrow zigzag, placing a shared strip of thin cooler fabric. This will strengthen the shoulder but leave the seam with some elasticity. Iron the seams.
7. Connect the pieces of the shelf.
8. Sew on the hood. It is more convenient to do this with a narrow zigzag.
9. Overcast the neck or cover the seam with a transverse strip of fabric (oblique trim or special braid).
10. Sew on the sleeve on the overlock, iron the seams.
11. Stitch the side seams on the overlocker, iron the seams.
12. Try on and specify the length of the sleeve and the length of the product.
13. Hem the hem with an open cut - overcast and topstitch with a double needle or other available stitches.
